Headquarters

We became industry leaders not only because of what we do, but how we do it. Come visit us at our headquarters and see for yourself. Experience the difference our people-oriented and technology-driven philosophy makes.

Success begins and ends with people. In 1980, Steven L. Aaron turned this philosophy into an international transportation reality. He envisioned a refrigerated transport company unlike any other – a company where people came first and where customers could become partners.

Once upon a time, Stevens Transport was operating with three employees in an office suite in Mesquite, Texas. The company owned three trucks and had six owner/operators leased on. Stevens Transport had their equipment leased to the C&H Company, which at that time was one of the largest trucking companies in North America.

Steven L. Aaron noticed a few areas of concern and to protect his drivers, went to have a heart to heart with a dispatcher at C&H to identify and correct the problem. The dispatcher did not appear concerned and kindly told Mr. Aaron if he “did not like his pathway at C&H to take his business elsewhere”.

That day, Mr. Aaron returned to his office, less than 8 months after beginning his career in trucking, and applied for 48 state authority.

Growth came year after year. Cautious planning, superb vision and leadership by Mr. Aaron, coupled with precise execution, enabled Stevens to gain ground. In 1985, we relocated to our first seven acre home on Highway 80 in Mesquite, TX. We outgrew this facility quickly and as deregulation progressed the large companies who controlled the industry slowly felt the competition moving in at all angles.

The story came full circle for Stevens Transport. C&H went bankrupt in the late 80s and their old facility is now the place we call home. Today we sit on 70 acres, 80,000 sq. ft of administrative space, Stevens Driving Academy, a full service truck driving school, as well as a full service driver complex and state of the art maintenance center encompassing 170,000 sq. ft, AND have 13 logistics offices diversified across the continent which service the continental United States, Canada (through our offices in Ontario and Quebec) as well as Mexico through our partner company, B2B Trucking Market.

Several Fortune 500 companies trust Stevens Transport for our full range of carrier transportation needs. Between our cost effective solutions, superior equipment, focus on safe travel and sustainability, we’re here for long hauls, regional and dedicated hauls or drayage transportation, and our strategic rail relations with BNSF and Union Pacific help us help you to speedier deliveries. It is our mission to ensure 100% customer satisfaction with both refrigerated and dry truck load shipments.

The philosophy of hiring and retaining the best employees, and giving them the tools they need to meet and exceed expectations, was put into play early on and, as a result, today we are one of the leading players in the temperature controlled sector. People are at the heart of any organization and many of the people here today have been on this exciting journey with us.

It has been a challenging yet rewarding journey that we at Stevens are very proud of. We continue to grow internally with the wide array of services and externally with our customers as their needs change. The feeling is one of confidence and together we will to strive to continue to be the innovative leaders of the industry.
