In these days of soaring energy prices, environmental initiatives help keep costs low while decreasing negative impact on the earth. At Stevens Transport, we’re proud to use eco-friendly processes and equipment to promote sustainability.

Many of the technologies we’ve adopted have environmentally beneficial effects:

• Meticulously maintained, top of the line Power Units with clean idle engines maximizing fuel efficiency and lowering emissions.
• Eco-Friendly TriPac Auxiliary Power Units (APU’s) by Thermo King prioritize energy efficiency, lower exhaust emissions and even allow for alternative energy options.
• Energy-efficient Trailer Refrigeration Units by Thermo King reduce power consumption and fuel burn.
• Aerodynamic trailer skirts help reduce drag and increase performance.
• Proactive driver training program educates our fleet daily while over the road or in classroom workshops.
• OptiStop assists drivers on when and where to stop optimizing fuel consumption and usage.
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) reduces paper waste and promotes a paper-free work environment.
• Employ fuel efficient tires while retreading worn tires.
• Refurbish and recycle refrigeration units, oil and all metals.
• An industry leader in research and development, testing new technology as a pledge to a reduce our footprint.

We also partnered with the EPA as a SmartWay Affiliate to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, curb air pollution, and improve fuel efficiency for sustainability.

Stevens Earns Thermo King Energy Efficiency Leader Award!  Innovative solutions that reduced fuel consumption by 6.6 percent and idle time more than 48 percent path the way for this honor.
