A Lifelong Connection To Truck Driving
Ever since he could remember, Moses Franklin has been enveloped in the transportation industry. With his father driving for over 35 years, Moses was able to experience the life of a professional truck driver at an early age, and was excited to follow in his father’s footsteps when the opportunity presented itself.
The opportunity arose in August of 2016, and Moses received CDL training at Tampa Truck Driving School in Tampa, FL. “I thoroughly enjoyed the training I received at Tampa Truck Driving School. I also made many friends that made my experience memorable and I am even in contact with some to this day!”
After receiving his CDL, Moses researched many companies to see where he would continue his driving career and was impressed with the many outstanding standards that Stevens held. “Stevens hit every checkbox that I had for my future company. Their family atmosphere truly drew me in, and their standards on safety and driver services were just the cherry on the top of the cake!”

Shortly after, Moses traveled to Dallas, TX to complete his orientation and over-the-road training with his trainer. During his training, Moses heard much about the opportunities that are offered to Stevens drivers, namely with the Contractor Division. “I was initially drawn to the opportunity after learning that I would be able to be my own boss and run my own business. After hearing more about the opportunity, I made the decision to lease my first truck, and have enjoyed it ever since!”
Moses completed his first lease in October of 2018, and has plans to start his own fleet very soon! “I used my lease completion bonus to put a down payment on my very first truck, and my goal is to purchase four more for my fleet. I’m very thankful for the opportunities that Stevens has offered me, and know that my future path is bright because of Stevens!”
Moses also passed along some advice to those who are looking to start their career in the industry. “I believe that Stevens is the best place to being your career, not only because of their outstanding training program but also because you are truly a member of the family here. You will have much support from everyone in the company, and you will be able to advance quickly in your career!”
When Moses is not out on the road delivering loads, you can find him spending time with his children and waiting for the next time he is able to get back on the road!
