Driver Rolls Past 1 Million Miles

Former Ironworker Kurt Bodah Chose A New Path

Kurt grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and he called home for the first 30 years of his life. Working with an ironworker’s union, Kurt repaired structurally reinforced iron and steel to form and support buildings, bridges, and roads. After spending over a decade as an ironworker, Kurt decided it was time for a change.

Tired of the New York lifestyle, Kurt decided to throw a dart at a map of the United States, and it took him to the city he now calls home, Orlando, Florida. Once established in his new city, Kurt immediately began to look for work when he discovered a Stevens Transport ad online and decided to apply.

In 2013, Kurt decided to join the Stevens Transport family and has been with us ever since. In the last 8 years with Stevens, Kurt has been an outstanding driver that has conducted himself at the highest level of safety and service. We are very thankful for Kurt’s hard work, and we are very eager to celebrate when he reaches his next goal, the two-million-mile mark!

Outside of work, Kurt is an avid fisherman who enjoys spending his time on the open water. Fun fact, Kurt recently caught an eight-foot-long bull shark while fishing for red snapper. It took Kurt over an hour and a half to get the shark into the boat, but after the long fight, Kurt was finally able to bring in this monstrous shark!
