Contractor Completes Fourth Lease
James Hess Isn’t Slowing Down
James has completed four leases since coming to Stevens Transport in 2011. His last lease completion bonus check was over $9,000 and he isn’t planning on slowing down anytime soon! James suggests to every driver who wants to succeed in the industry: “Stevens is a great company. Stick with it and work hard.”
After serving in the U.S. Navy, James sought a career opportunity that allowed him to explore the country. He received his CDL from Roadmaster Drivers School in Jacksonville, FL, and immediately came to Stevens to take that opportunity and jump-start his truck driving career.

James started out as a solo driver for Alliance and really enjoyed it. Shortly after, he transitioned to a team driver and exclaimed how great it was to have another driver enjoying all the open road had to offer with you. His desire for growth and success fueled on, so he eventually became a trainer to teach a new generation of drivers and felt the experience was well worth it.
