And the best of the best drive for Stevens Transport. The executive team of Stevens Transport is proud to announce and honor the driver award winners from the month of June 2020:

Jeffrey Demczuk

1st Place Trainer of the Month

Image of Stevens Driver Trainer Jeffrey DemczukJeffrey joined Stevens in September of 2018 and graduated with his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School in Tampa, FL. He enjoyed the training he received at both Tampa Truck Driving School and Stevens, and is still in contact with his trainer to this day! When we asked Jeffrey what he attributes to his success, he stated: “My hard work ethic and dedication to my profession have helped me get to where I am today. My trainer also passed on some great knowledge and advice that I still use to this day!” Jeffrey also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “When in doubt, don’t. Never make a rash decision; just breathe, think it over, and call in if you have questions!” Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Byron Orange

Runner Up Trainer of the Month

Image of Runner-up Byron joined Stevens in January of 2019 and graduated with his CDL from Diesel Driving Academy in Monroe, LA. Byron enjoyed the training that he received from both Diesel Driving Academy and Stevens, and appreciated all of the information that he received from all of his instructors. When we asked Byron what he attributes to his success, he replied: “My family has been a huge source of support during all of my travels. They’re very understanding of my profession, and I’m very thankful for their daily encouragement.” Byron also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Always remember to keep safety your number one priority, and make sure to enjoy what you’re doing. The rewards will come in time.” Outside of work, Byron enjoys reading, traveling and exploring new places, and spending time with his family.

Christopher Dykowski

1st Place Company Driver of the Month

image of Christopher Dykowski of Stevens TransportChristopher joined Stevens in October of 2019 and graduated with his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy in Dallas, TX. Christopher enjoyed the training he received from Stevens, and felt well-prepared to begin his new career. When we asked Christopher what he attributes to his success, he answered: “My internal motivation and commitment to this industry keeps me going every day. The Operations team at Stevens also constantly keeps me moving, which I really appreciate!” Christopher also passed along some sound advice to our new drivers: “Be a sponge, and make sure to soak up as much knowledge as you can. Also, pay attention to every piece of advice that anyone passes along to you, and don’t be afraid to ask questions!” Outside of work, Christopher enjoys spending time at home with his family.

Michael May

Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Image of Stevens Truck Driver Michael MayMichael joined Stevens in June of 2013 and graduated with his CDL from Johnson Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. Michael enjoyed the training he received from both Johnson Community College and Stevens, and was excited to continue his new career at a renowned company. When we asked Michael what he attributes to his success, he replied: “Every single person at Stevens has played an integral part in my success. The state-of-the-art equipment that they offer their drivers has helped me immensely in my travels. I know that my future looks bright while driving for Stevens!” Michael also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Always have patience. Also, make it a point to be safer on the road than the day before.” Outside of work, Michael enjoys playing his guitar and playing the latest games on his PlayStation.

Ali Al Rushidat

1st Place Contractor of the Month

Image of trucker Ali Al RushidatAli joined Stevens in July of 2019 and graduated with his CDL from Lone Star Community College in Spring, TX. Ali enjoyed the training he received from both Lone Star Community College and Stevens, and was inspired by his trainer to become an Independent Contractor with Stevens Transport CD, Inc. When we asked Ali what he attributes to his success, he expressed: “My Driver Manager is very patient and understanding, and has helped me get to where I am today. The planning team, including Billy Lemanski and Whitney Rhodes, helps keep me rolling consistently, and I’m very appreciative of them as well!” Ali also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Make it a priority to be in constant communication with your Driver Manager because they help you achieve success daily. Also, befriend every driver that you can and ask questions, because they have been in your shoes before and want to see you succeed.” Outside of work, Ali enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.

Brandon Dixon

Runner-Up Contractor of the Month

Image of Stevens Transport's Brandon DixonBrandon joined Stevens in December of 2019 and graduated with his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School in Tampa, FL. Brandon enjoyed the training he received from both Tampa Truck Driving School and Stevens, and felt well-prepared to begin his new professional career. When we asked Brandon what he attributes to his success, he said: “I attribute much of my success to the work ethic that my mother and father instilled in me. My trainer also taught me much about this industry that I still use to this day.” Brandon also passed along some sound advice to our new drivers: “Never quit, because nothing in life comes easy. Also, always look ahead because you can only get miles going forward!” Outside of work, Brandon enjoys working out and spending time with his family and dog.

Onterio Sutton

1st Place Owner Operator

image of Onterio Sutton, Stevens Transport driverOnterio joined Stevens in January of 2001 and graduated with his CDL from Cowtown Driving School in Fort Worth, TX. Onterio enjoyed the training he received from both Cowtown Driving School and Stevens, and was excited to advance his career with Stevens Transport CD, Inc. as an Owner-Operator! When we asked Onterio what he attributes to his success, he answered: “The collaboration that I encounter with every person in the Operations team has helped me garner much of my success today. I also thank Steve Aaron for presenting the opportunity to become so successful in a career that I truly enjoy!” Onterio also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Make the most of every day that you are behind the wheel. Every day is a new adventure, and if you blink, you may just miss it.” Outside of work, Onterio enjoys fishing and spending time at his new home.

Liane & Roderick Thompson

1st Place Team of the Month

Image of team truckers Liane & Roderick Thompson Roderick joined Stevens in December of 2017 and graduated with his CDL from Fayetteville Technical College in Fayetteville, NC. Soon after, Liane joined Stevens in August of 2018 and graduated with her CDL from Georgia Driving Academy in Columbus, GA. The pair enjoyed the training that they received at their respected driving schools and Stevens, and after meeting on the road, became inseparable and officially became an Independent Contractor Team in September of 2019. When we asked the team what they attribute to their success, Roderick responded: “Our stellar teamwork and communication has been a key factor in our success. We have also built great relationships with many people at Stevens, who have passed along some great advice and knowledge that we constantly use during every trip!” Liane also passed along some sound advice to our new drivers: “You have to have patience in this industry because nothing happens instantly. Also, do not let the negative deter you from pursuing a career that you will ultimately enjoy!” Outside of work, the duo enjoys going out to dinners and spending time with their children.

Thomas Coggins

1st Place Grad Driver of the Month

Image of award-winning truck driver Thomas CogginsThomas joined Stevens in March of 2020 and graduated with his CDL from Careers World Wide in Keenesburg, CO. Thomas enjoyed the training he received from both Careers World Wide and Stevens, and was thrilled to begin his new professional career as a solo driver! When we asked Thomas what he attributes to his success, he said “I gained a lot of respect for the industry from my father, who was a professional driver for over 40 years. He taught me much about the industry after I joined, and I work hard every day to maintain his legacy.” Thomas also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Make sure that you are maintaining your professionalism at all times. Also, make sure to keep your composure and don’t let the little things become big ones.” Outside of work, Thomas enjoys riding his motorcycle, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his dog.

Britainy Fry

Runner Up Grad Driver of the Month

Image of driver Britainy Fry Britainy joined Stevens in December of 2019 and graduated with her CDL from Georgia Driving Academy in Columbus, GA. Britainy enjoyed the training that she received from both Georgia Driving Academy and Stevens, and was very thankful for the knowledge that she received from her trainers. When we asked Britainy what she attributes to her success, she responded: “My daily goal is to make every day better than the last. The training program that Stevens offers their drivers is extremely thorough, which also helped me become the driver I am today.” Britainy also passed along some sound advice to our new drivers: “This profession requires a great deal of hard work, but it will definitely be worth it in the end. Also, make sure to set goals for yourself that you will be able to accomplish daily.” Outside of work, Britainy enjoys bowling, going to the movies, and spending time with her friends.

Joseph Davie

1st Place Dedicated Driver

Image of Joesph Davie Joseph joined Stevens in July of 2018 and graduated with his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School in Tampa, FL. Joseph enjoyed the training he received from both Tampa Truck Driving School and Stevens, and thoroughly enjoyed the top of the line over-the-road training that he received. When we asked Joseph what he attributes to his success, he stated: “My family motivates me to be the best driver that I can be every day. I work hard to provide the best life that I can for them.” Joseph also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Make sure to take your time and learn as much about your new profession as you can. Also, make sure to have fun, and safely enjoy the view.” Outside of work, Joseph enjoys spending time with his family.

Ron Hoffman

Runner Up Dedicated Driver

Image of Stevens' driver Ron Hoffman Ron joined Stevens in August of 2016 and graduated with his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy in Dallas, TX. Ron enjoyed the training that he received from Stevens, and was excited to start a new adventure in the Rail division. When we asked Ron what he attributes to his success, he said: “My hard work and dedication to the industry has gotten me to where I am today. I have achieved many of the goals I have set for myself within the industry, and look forward to accomplishing many more!” Ron also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Make sure to put what in what you want to get out of it. Also, every day is a learning day, so make sure to keep an open mind, and ask as many questions as you can!” Outside of work, Ron enjoys bowling and spending time with his wife and neighbors.
