JUSTIN HIGGS

1st Place Trainer of the Month

Justin Higgs Trainer of the MonthJustin joined Stevens in September of 2014 and graduated from Careers World Wide in Keensburg, CO. Justin enjoyed the training he received at Stevens and felt well-prepared to start driving. When we asked Justin what he attributes to his success, he explained: “My trainer, Jose Anaya, really changed my perception on this profession as a whole. He showed me everything that was possible not only at Stevens but in the industry as well.” Justin also shared some sound advice for our new drivers: “Stay patient in every situation. During the days that are not the best, make sure to give yourself a chance to see what the industry can offer you.” Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his family and friends and riding his motorcycle.

John Manoni

Runner Up Trainer of the Month

John enjoyed the training he received at Stevens and appreciated the information that was shared by all of the instructors. When we asked John what he attributes to his success, he replied: “Everyone at Stevens, especially those in the Safety Department, my Driver Managers, and my trainer, have been nothing but supportive and encouraging during my time here at Stevens. I would not be as far as I am today without them.” Justin also shared some sound advice for our new drivers: “This profession is not just a job, it’s a lifestyle. Make sure being a driver is something that you want to do.” Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying outings planned by his wife.

Diego Accilien

1st Place Company Driver of the Month

Diego enjoyed the training he received at Stevens and appreciated the exceptional trainers that taught him everything. When we asked Diego what he attributes to his success, he replied: “My trainer really helped me understand the industry and how to stay safe on the road.” Diego also shared some sound advice for our new drivers: “Always keep pushing. You will make every day better than the last!” Outside of work, Diego enjoys relaxing and spending time with his family.

Scott Charlton

Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Scott took a moment to reflect back on the excitement he had in our training program. He expressed learning a new trade and seeing different parts of the world is something that he continues to cherish. When we asked Scott what he attributes to his success, he replied: “All of my Driver Managers, from when I first started on the road, to when I reached the Grad fleet, to now, have been instrumental to assisting me with any questions and concerns that I may have when I’m out on the road.” Scott also shared some sound advice for our new drivers: “No matter the situation, always try to maintain your emotional peace. There are parts to this job that can be very arduous, but keeping calm in those situations is key.” Outside of work, Scott enjoys relaxing and spending time with his 12-year-old son.

Roberto Abreu

1st Place Contractor of the Month

photo of Robert Abreu, contractor of the monthRoberto joined Stevens in August of 2011 and graduated from Tampa Truck Driving School in Tampa, FL. Roberto enjoyed the training that he received at Stevens and is grateful for all of the helpful information that he learned from the instructors. When we asked Roberto what he attributes to his success, he explained: “I thank everyone at Stevens for making it possible for me to reach this achievement. Everything I have learned so far from everyone has helped me get to where I am today.” Roberto also shared some sound advice for our new drivers: “Safety first and be attentive. I believe that being safe is the key to success.” Outside of work, Roberto enjoys flying remote controlled airplanes and relaxing on the beach.

Mac Farris

Runner-Up Contractor of the Month

Mac joined Stevens in October of 2017 and graduated from Stevens Driving Academy. Mac enjoyed the training that he received at Stevens, along with his instructors and classmates. When we asked Mac what he attributes his success to, he elaborated: “I have instilled a great work ethic in myself that helps me succeed in this job. My Driver Manager is also very helpful and answers all of the questions that I have.” Mac also shared some sound advice for our new drivers: “Learning this profession takes time. Make sure to do your research and ask all of the questions that you can.” Outside of work, Mac enjoys helping his family and producing music.

Olayinka Oyewole

1st Place Owner Operator of the Month

Olayinka enjoyed the training he received at Stevens and still uses all of the practices he learned 10 years later. When we asked Olayinka what he attributes to his success, he replied: “My trainer really helped me when I first started out. He is still my mentor to this day.” Olayinka also shared some sound advice for our new drivers: “Always remember to keep safety at the forefront. If you enjoy the ride, this will never feel like work.” Outside of work, Olayinka enjoys relaxing and spending time with his two teenage children.

Cody Howard and Michael Ross

1st Place Team of the Month

photo of team of the month winnersCody Howard and Michael Ross joined Stevens in November of 2018 and both graduated from Careers World Wide in Keenesburg, CO. The team enjoyed the training they received at Stevens and respected the knowledge they gained about the industry. When we asked the team what they credit their success to, they replied: “Our beliefs and our families both push us every day to make that day better than the one before.” The team also offered advice for our new drivers: “Don’t blink. You will get to see many new and different places across the country, and you don’t want to miss them!” Outside of work, the team enjoys relaxing, competitive arm wrestling, and spending time with their friends and families.

Jorge Crespo

1st Place Grad Driver of the Month

Jorge enjoyed the training he received at Stevens and is very thankful for all of the support he received from both the instructors and his classmates. When we asked Jorge what he credits his success to, he explained: “My trainer, Marco Perez, taught me many things that were very helpful. He also showed me how to work hard and how to push myself to achieve success.” Jorge also had some advice for our new drivers: “You need to be willing to put in the hard work to see the reward. Also, enjoy all of the sights you can!” Outside of work, Jorge enjoys relaxing and cooking new recipes at home with his wife.

Miguel Nunez

Runner Up Grad Driver of the Month

Miguel enjoyed the training he received at Stevens and appreciated the instructors’ answering all questions that were asked. When we asked Miguel what he attributes to his success, he explained: “The support system that Stevens offers is nothing less than exceptional. Everyone at Stevens and Tennessee Truck Driving School are the reason why I am here today, and I could not thank them enough!” Miguel also offered some sound advice to our new drivers: “Having patience is the key. This career takes time, but you will become better with every day that passes.” Outside of work, Miguel enjoys relaxing and spending time with his family.
