And the best of the best drive for Stevens Transport. The executive team of Stevens Transport is proud to announce and honor the driver award winners from the month of October 2019:

Michael Noack

1st Place Trainer of the Month

Michael joined Stevens in July of 2014 and graduated from Roadmaster in Jacksonville, FL. Michael enjoyed the training he received from both Roadmaster and Stevens, and appreciated all of the knowledge that was passed along to him. When we asked Michael what he attributes to his success, he said: “I cannot attribute my success to only one person. Everyone at Stevens has contributed to my success, and I am thankful for them every day.” Michael also shared some sound advice for our new drivers: “There are two things you always need to keep an eye on: your fuel and your surroundings. Watching those will keep you safe and successful.” Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his children, fishing, and hunting.

Devan Stevens

Runner Up Trainer of the Month

Devan joined Stevens in December of 2014 and graduated from C1 Truck Driver Training in Fort Worth, TX. Devan enjoyed the training he received from both C1 Truck Driver Training and Stevens, and was very thankful for all of the behind the wheel experience he had. When we asked Devan what he attributes to his success, he said: “First, I wanted to thank Steve Aaron for opening this opportunity up to individuals like myself who are wanting to experience a career in this industry. Next, I want to thank everyone at Stevens who keeps me rolling every day. I would not be in a career that I love without them.” Devan also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Always take your time and learn everything that you can. The more you learn, the more success you will have.” Outside of work, Devan enjoys spending time with his family and relaxing.

Jackie Dunn

1st Place Company Driver of the Month

Jackie joined Stevens in September of 1999 and graduated from Stevens Driving Academy in Dallas, TX. Jackie enjoyed the training he received at Stevens, and reflected on all of the memories he made with his instructors and classmates. When we asked Jackie what he attributes to his success, he replied: “I would not be where I am today without the support of Richard Moore and Bill Cheney. Both of these individuals have left a huge impression on me and I am thankful for them every day.” Jackie also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Follow all of the guidelines that Stevens implements, and you will be very successful!” Outside of work, Jackie enjoys raising horses with his wife, fishing, and relaxing.

Saquan Davis

Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Saquan joined Stevens in July of 2017 and graduated from Stevens Driving Academy in Dallas, TX. Saquan enjoyed the training he received Stevens, and cherishes the many memories that he made with his instructors and classmates. When we asked Saquan what he attributes to his success, he said: “All three of my trainers were very instrumental in all of the success I have had so far. I learned a great deal of information from them, and successfully apply it while I’m on the road every day.” Saquan also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Always have patience. The tough times don’t last, people do.” Outside of work, Saquan enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and relaxing.

Miguel Salinas

1st Place Contractor of the Month

Miguel joined Stevens in October of 2013 and graduated from Heritage Auto School in New Rochelle, NY. Miguel enjoyed the training he received from both Heritage Auto School and Stevens, and recalls how helpful all of the instructors were. When we asked Miguel what he attributes to his success, he stated: “I would not be where I am today without the constant support from all of the planners and dispatchers. We have a great stream of communication, and they keep me rolling successfully every day.” Miguel also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Continually challenge yourself to become the best driver you can be. You will be surprised by what you can accomplish!” Outside of work, Miguel enjoys watching TV and relaxing.

Thomas Cochran

Runner-Up Contractor of the Month

Thomas joined Stevens in March of 2015 and graduated from Miller Motte in Fayetteville, NC. Thomas enjoyed the training he received from both Miller Motte and Stevens, and appreciated all of the knowledge that was passed down to him from the instructors. When we asked Thomas what he attributes to his success, he explained: “My trainer was very instrumental in my success; he taught me so much and I would not be where I am today without his support and guidance. My Driver Manager also keeps me rolling successfully every day, and I am thankful for his daily communication.” Teddy also shared some sound advice for our new drivers: “Prioritize what is important to you. Also, do not give up because all good things will come in time.” Outside of work, Thomas enjoys spending time with his family and fly fishing.

Lloyd Thomas

1st Place Owner Operator

Lloyd joined Stevens in June of 2007 and graduated from NTA Trucking in Huron, SD. Lloyd enjoyed the training he received at both NTA Trucking and Stevens, and appreciated the relationship that he maintains with his trainers to this day. When we asked Lloyd what he attributes to his success, he replied: “I really owe my success to my trainers, Kirk Smith and Robert Acy. Without their support and guidance, I would not be where I am today.” Lloyd also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Always be aware of your surroundings, and keep looking forward. Doing this will make you successful.” Outside of work, Lloyd enjoys spending time with his children and relaxing.

Christopher Cooper and Suzanne Irvin

1st Place Team of the Month

Christopher and Suzanne joined Stevens in September 2018 and both graduated from Stevens Driving Academy in Dallas, TX. The team enjoyed the training they received at Stevens, and were excited to pursue their new career as a team. When we asked Christopher what he attributes the team’s success to, he stated: “Our internal motivation to deliver every load satisfactorily keeps us rolling every day. We always plan accordingly to make sure that we never have a late load; doing this has made us very successful!” Suzanne also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Don’t sit and wait for something to come to you. Always be two steps ahead of everything that you do, and it will make every day better than the last.” Outside of work, the team enjoys going to the lake, indoor skydiving, and taking vacations.

Amy Slanovits

1st Place Grad Driver of the Month

Amy joined Stevens in May of 2019 and graduated from Tennessee Truck Driving School in Louisville, TN. Amy enjoyed the training he received from both Tennessee Truck Driving School and Stevens and enjoyed the new adventures she had with her instructors and her classmates. When we asked Amy what she attributes to her success, she explained: “I owe my success to my internal self-motivation, which helps me complete every day better than the last. My Driver Manager has also been a great support system while I’m on the road.” Amy also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Always think before you act. Also, don’t judge a book by its cover, because you never know what to expect.” Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her children and relaxing.

Daniel Nazario

Runner Up Grad Driver of the Month

Daniel joined Stevens in August of 2019 and graduated from Tampa Truck Driving School in Tampa, FL. Daniel enjoys the training he received at both Tampa Truck Driving School and Stevens, and cherished the lasting memories he made with his trainers and classmates. When we asked Daniel what he attributes to his success, he responded: “I owe all of my success to my trainer Bob Sporka. Without Bob’s guidance and support, I would not be where I am today, and I am very thankful for him every day.” Daniel also passed along some sound advice for our new drivers: “Always listen to others, and make sure to always pay attention to your surroundings. Everything will work out in the end.” Outside of work, Daniel enjoys building scooters, rebuilding car motors, and making custom car frames.
