Stevens Transport Drivers Among Top 4 Finalists

Miller Wins 1st Runner-Up, Losee Grabs 2nd Runner-Up

Congratulations to Ray Miller and Gail Losee for winning the top monetary prizes in the Transition Trucking: Driving for Excellence award presented by Kenworth, Fastport, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hiring our Heroes Program.

The ceremony, which was hosted at the Kenworth/PACCAR assembly line in Chillicothe, OH this year, saw the attendance of many military professionals, media outlets, and industry professionals, including Vice President of Driver Resources Angela Horowitz and former Transition Trucking winner Gregg Softy.

While 2020 has been an unprecedented year for all of us, some of our country and our company’s finest Veterans, Ray and Gail, have shown to be exceptional in the transportation industry in this year’s Transition Trucking event.

Ray Miller, who received the 1st Runner-Up prize of $10,000, passed along his sentiments about how much he cherished this once-in-a-lifetime experience. “If you would’ve told me that I would be in this position right now, I would call you crazy. I didn’t truly understand how big this award was, but now that I’ve experienced it, I wouldn’t have traded it for anything in the world!”

image of Gail Losee with Transition Trucking checkGail Losee, who received the 2nd Runner-Up prize of $5,000, reflected on her journey in the event since being nominated in July. “It’s an honor to be driving for Stevens and to have represented both them and the female driver force in this award. When I first received the call about being nominated, I had no idea what was in store for me for the following six months. It’s been a whirlwind experience, and look forward to what else this industry has in store for us!”
