Mason Melen
1st Place Company Driver of the Month

We are proud to recognize Mason Melen as our September Company Driver of the Month! Mason joined Stevens Transport in December 2024 after earning his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School. In September, he logged an impressive 11,846 miles while maintaining a flawless service record.
Mason’s passion for trucking began at a young age, inspired by his father, who was also a truck driver. Riding along in his dad’s dump truck sparked his desire to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career behind the wheel. When asked about the key to his success, Mason credits his strong drive and goal-oriented mindset: “It’s all about having goals—figuring out where you want to go.” For new drivers, Mason offers this advice: “Leave personal problems at home and stay focused on your goals. Be persistent, track your progress, manage your time wisely, pre-plan your routes, and communicate regularly about your loads.” Mason also praises the driver managers at Stevens Transport, noting how supportive and efficient they are in helping drivers succeed: “They help me through things very quickly, and the consistency here has been great.”
His most memorable experiences with Stevens include traveling across the U.S., visiting the mountains, exploring new states, and sharing the road with his puppy—moments he says he wouldn’t experience otherwise. Outside of work, Mason enjoys fishing, boating, riding dirt bikes, and staying active in the gym.

Hassan Boushehri
Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Hassan Boushehri, our Company Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Hassan has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since September 2016, when he launched his professional driving career after earning his CDL from the Stevens Driving Academy.
Over the years, he has built a reputation for his professionalism, dependability, and commitment to excellence on the road. In September, Hassan logged an impressive 12,896 miles while maintaining a perfect safety record, exemplifying the dedication and attention to detail that make him an outstanding driver. His focus on safety and adherence to company standards continue to set a great example for his peers.
When asked what inspired him to join Stevens Transport, Hassan shared, “Stevens Transport puts an extra focus on driver safety, plus I knew I wanted to drive the newest and safest trucks on the road.” His passion for safety and continuous improvement aligns perfectly with our company’s values and mission. Outside of work, Hassan enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family, making the most of his time off the road.

Dean Weaver
1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Dean Weaver, our Independent Contractor Driver of the Month for September! Dean began his journey with Stevens Transport in August 2023 after earning his CDL from Lone Star in Houston. By November 2023, he had transitioned into the Contractor Division, where his dedication and professionalism quickly set him apart. In September, Dean logged an outstanding 14,552 miles, earning him this well-deserved recognition.
Dean was inspired to pursue a career in trucking by his grandfather and uncle, both professional drivers who influenced his decision to follow in their footsteps. Seeking a new career path, he found his calling on the open road. Dean attributes his success to his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence: “I’ve always been a hard worker and made my career a priority. I owe a lot of credit to my trainer, Tim Robbins, and to my Driver Manager, Owen Eckblad—they’ve both played key roles in my success.”
When offering advice to new drivers, Dean emphasizes persistence and dedication: “If this is really what you want, put in the work. The first few months can be tough, but stick with it. Once planners and driver managers see your consistency, they’ll start trusting you.” Dean highlights the family-oriented culture and strong safety standards at Stevens Transport as what he values most: “It’s a great company. I love the ability to drop loads early and keep things moving. The environment feels like family, and the safety program here is top-tier. Always stay safe.” One of Dean’s most memorable experiences has been driving through the western mountains and watching comets light up the night sky—moments that remind him why he loves life on the road.
When he’s not behind the wheel, Dean enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, and being with his family in Sacramento, California.

Jasen Bell
Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Jasen Bell, our September Independent Contractor of the Month Runner-Up! Jasen began his career with Stevens Transport in June 2023 after earning his CDL from Lone Star College in Houston. Just four months later, he advanced into the Contractor Division, where he continues to demonstrate outstanding performance. In September, Jasen logged an impressive 13,244 miles, earning this well-deserved recognition.
Before joining Stevens, Jasen spent 20 years as a sales manager across several companies. Seeking a new challenge and greater independence, he decided to pursue a career in trucking. After researching various carriers and speaking with friends in the industry—one of whom drove for Stevens—Jasen was convinced that Stevens Transport offered the best opportunity for success. Jasen attributes his achievements to the quality of his training and his commitment to continuous learning: “Both of my trainers were excellent. The training program here teaches you how to be a safe and professional driver. It’s all about developing good habits and thinking outside the box.” For new drivers, Jasen offers this advice: “Success takes time and self-drive. Follow what your trainers and driver managers teach you, stay proactive, and communicate with planners to make the most of your time and earnings.” Outside of work, Jasen enjoys traveling, is a sports enthusiast—especially football, baseball, and basketball—and loves fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Phillip Hall
1st Place New Driver of the Month
We are proud to recognize Phillip Hall as our September New Driver of the Month! Phillip joined Stevens Transport in May 2025 after earning his CDL from CDL Trucking School of Knoxville, Tennessee. Since then, he has shown exceptional dedication and professionalism, logging an impressive 10,267 miles in September.
Phillip was drawn to Stevens Transport in pursuit of a stable and rewarding career path—one that would allow him to build a better future and enjoy a fulfilling life. He credits his success to the guidance of his driver trainer, Saint Ali, as well as the encouragement from his family and friends, who continue to keep him motivated. When offering advice to new drivers, Phillip emphasizes keeping a clear mind: “Don’t overthink it—there’s a lot of pressure to do so, but staying calm and focused makes all the difference.” Phillip says the best part about driving for Stevens Transport is the freedom and relaxed environment: “As long as you do what you’re supposed to do, there’s a great sense of independence here.” His most memorable moments on the road include driving down a mountain in Tennessee for the first time and traveling through Northern California and Oregon, taking in the incredible scenery and natural beauty along the way. For Phillip, the most rewarding aspects of being a driver are the freedom of the open road, the opportunity to earn, and the ability to work independently. Outside of work, Phillip enjoys gaming, music production, and is passionate about hip-hop and R&B. He also enjoys spending time at the gun range.

Devonta Bryant
Runner-Up New Driver of The Month

Congratulations to Devonta Bryant — September New Driver of the Month Runner-Up! We are proud to recognize Devonta Bryant as the September New Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Devonta earned his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School and joined Stevens Transport in June 2025. In September, he logged an impressive 11,536 miles, showcasing his dedication and strong work ethic.
A lifelong resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, Devonta was inspired to join Stevens Transport to explore the open road and experience life beyond his hometown. He credits his success to his willingness to take chances, his leap of faith, and his determination to “just do it.” Devonta’s advice for new drivers: “Learn as much as you can from your trainer. Keep pushing, don’t give up, and keep the wheels rolling.” Devonta says the best part about Stevens Transport is the great communication and the company’s commitment to “doing what needs to be done.” His favorite part of being on the road is taking in the beautiful views across the United States, with Colorado Springs, Colorado being one of his favorite destinations.
Outside of work, Devonta enjoys spending time with his son, especially attending football games. He proudly cheers for both the Baltimore Ravens and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Christopher & Linda Lopez-Meer
1st Place Team of the Month

Congratulations to Christopher and Linda Lopez-Meer — September Team of the Month! We’re proud to recognize 20-year U.S. Navy veteran Christopher Lopez-Meer and Linda Lopez-Meer as our September Team of the Month! This outstanding duo logged an impressive 21,327 miles, earning top team honors for the month. Chris began his career with Stevens Transport in April 2023, while Linda joined the team in June 2024. Chris earned his CDL through Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, and Linda earned hers through Phoenix CDL Driving School.
Chris decided to join Stevens Transport because of the company’s strong reputation for training and supporting new drivers, and he wanted to be part of an organization that truly values safety, professionalism, and growth opportunities. Both Chris and Linda credit their success to a spirit of friendly competition that keeps them motivated on the road. Their advice to new drivers is simple but powerful: “Talk to senior drivers and ask questions. The more resources you have, the better. Don’t be afraid to ask questions!” When asked what they enjoy most about Stevens Transport, they both mentioned the great communication and support from the Stevens team. Linda adds that her Driver Manager, Shane Prusia, has become her best friend. For Linda, the best part of being a driver is meeting new people from all walks of life, while Chris loves seeing the beauty of the country—especially when he got the chance to watch his favorite baseball team play a few games while in Seattle. Outside of work, Chris enjoys watching and playing ice hockey, and although he hasn’t played in about eight months, his home time often revolves around hockey tournaments. Linda enjoys simply spending quality time with Chris whenever they’re home.

Joseph Grolmus
Owner-Operator of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Two Million Miler Joseph Grolmus, our September Owner-Operator of the Month! Joseph began his journey with Stevens Transport in August 2008 after earning his CDL through the Stevens Driving Academy. In September, he logged an impressive 14,143 miles, continuing his long record of excellence and dedication.
Joseph is deeply grateful for the dedicated team at Stevens Transport and credits his success to the company’s comprehensive training program, along with his own patience, mindfulness, and awareness on the road. When asked what he enjoys most about being an Owner-Operator, Joseph says it’s the freedom of being able to drive his truck home and park it right in front of his house. His favorite place to visit is Lake Havasu, Arizona, where he enjoys the scenery and relaxed atmosphere.
Joseph is living proof that long-term success in trucking is achievable through hard work and perseverance. He reflects that the first year was the hardest, but after that, everything became easier—and now, over 16 years later, he proudly plans to continue his career with Stevens Transport. Outside of work, Joseph enjoys riding his Harley during the winter and boating on the lake during the summer, making the most of his well-earned downtime.

Onterio Sutton
Trainer of the Month
We are proud to recognize Four-Million-Mile Haul of Famer, Onterio Sutton, as our September Trainer of the Month! Onterio began his career with Stevens Transport twenty-four years ago in June 2001, after earning his CDL from Cowtown Driving School in Fort Worth, Texas. Just a few months later, in September 2001, he made the leap to become an independent contractor, marking the start of a long and successful journey as a business owner-operator. In 2005, Onterio expanded his career by becoming a Driver Trainer, and for more than 22 years, he has proudly mentored and guided hundreds of new drivers, helping them build a strong foundation for success in the trucking industry. In September, Onterio logged an impressive 16,379 miles, demonstrating his continued commitment to excellence and leadership on the road.
He attributes his long-term success to the supportive leadership team at Stevens Transport and the proactive communication of his driver managers, who keep him engaged and informed. Onterio also values the company’s open-door policy and dedication to clear, effective communication. One of Onterio’s proudest career moments was becoming an independent contractor, a milestone that marked the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey. Onterio’s advice “Focus on building stability in your career. Stevens Transport is a great place to start, offering a supportive environment that sets drivers up for success.”
Outside of work, Onterio enjoys fishing, playing dominoes, and relaxing to gospel, R&B, and Southern soul blues music.

Maurice Green
Runner Up Trainer of the Month

We are proud to recognize Maurice Green as our September Trainer of the Month Runner-Up! Maurice began his journey in the transportation industry after completing his CDL training at Stevens Driving Academy. He joined Stevens Transport in July 2018 and transitioned to an Independent Contractor in October of the same year. This September, Maurice logged an impressive 15,984 miles. Prior to joining Stevens, Maurice worked as an automotive technician at Just Brakes in Arlington, Texas.
Seeking a career change, he was drawn to the opportunities and challenges of the transportation industry. Since becoming a trainer two and a half years ago, Maurice has successfully trained between 50 and 60 students. In 2020, he earned his Red Shirt Trainer status—thanks to a little encouragement from Big Tony Taylor. “It’s pretty cool training new students; it just depends on the individual,” Maurice shares. Maurice credits his success to his strong work ethic and business mindset. As an independent contractor, he takes pride in running his own operation, understanding every aspect of his routes—from pickup to delivery. “Out here, you’re here to work, not to play around,” he says. “If the company is going to succeed, it’s because of me. Everything depends on hard work.” He also appreciates the support from his driver managers, who, he says, “they know I don’t like to stop or sit around—they keep me rolling.”
When asked what advice he would give to new drivers, Maurice says: “Driving isn’t for everyone. If this is what you want to do, capitalize on every opportunity. Get as much as you can while you’re out here—and make sure to get your rest, too.” Outside of trucking, Maurice enjoys working on cars. He is currently restoring his 2005 Dodge Hemi Magnum, a project he describes as “a work in progress.”

Ashley Earl
1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month

We are proud to recognize Two Million Miler Ashley Earl as our Dedicated Driver of the Month! Ashley began her journey with Stevens Transport in November 2012 after completing her CDL training at Stevens Driving Academy. With a clear vision of building her own business, she transitioned to the Contractor Division in 2013—a strategic step that set the foundation for her long-term success. In September, Ashley demonstrated her dedication and consistency by logging an impressive 12,380 miles. As an independent contractor, she embraces the freedom of the open road and enjoys the breathtaking scenery that comes with life on the move.
Ashley’s accomplishments are a testament to her hard work, skill, and determination. She credits her success to her work ethic and to the inspiration of her father, a respected truck driver who motivated her to pursue a career in the transportation industry. For those just beginning their journey, Ashley offers simple but powerful advice: “Persistence is key—keep pushing forward, even when challenges arise.” Despite her demanding schedule, Ashley values every opportunity to spend time with her family, balancing her professional dedication with a deep commitment to her loved ones.

Chanel Lyons
Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Chanel Lyons, our Runner-Up Dedicated Driver of the Month for September! Chanel has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since November 2023, beginning her professional driving career after earning her CDL from Roadmaster Drivers School in North Carolina. In September, she demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill by logging an impressive 11,812 miles, showcasing her commitment to excellence and earning this well-deserved recognition.
Chanel was inspired to join Stevens Transport by her uncle, Cori Taylor, who was a Stevens driver. She often sought his advice as she considered entering the industry, and his guidance played a key role in her decision to follow in his footsteps. Chanel credits much of her success to Cori, who taught her valuable lessons about time management, frontloading loads, and maintaining steady progress on the road. She also expresses appreciation for Sonya McAvey and Perdue, acknowledging their excellent load planning and consistent support. Chanel shared that once a driver proves they can handle loads efficiently, Sonya ensures the next one is ready to go — a system that motivates her to continually perform at her best. When offering advice to new drivers, Chanel emphasizes perseverance and consistency: “Stay the course — it might be tough at first, and it may feel like you’re not getting enough miles, but keep pushing. Don’t take long breaks, prove yourself, and show your driver manager and planners that you can deliver loads not just on time, but ahead of schedule.” Chanel’s favorite part of being a professional driver is the freedom of the open road and the peace of mind it brings. Outside of work, she enjoys playing video games, which she finds to be a great way to unwind and relieve stress.
