A Multimodal Carrier Built on a Refrigerated Foundation

Stevens Transport was founded in Dallas in 1980 on a single capability: temperature-controlled transportation without compromise. That capability remains the foundation of the company today. Over more than 46 years, we have expanded into a full multimodal network, adding dry van, intermodal, expedited, dedicated, regional, and third-party logistics (3PL) service lines, while holding every service line to the same standard we started with.

Stevens Transport now operates across the United States, Canada, and Mexico as one of North America’s largest asset-based, temperature-controlled carriers. A number of Fortune 500 shippers trust us with time-critical, temperature-controlled freight, and we hold that same standard fleetwide, reefer and dry van alike.

Our headquarters sits on 75 acres just outside downtown Dallas, positioned for direct interstate access and built to house a modern fleet, a full-service maintenance operation, and our logistics team within a single facility.

Success begins and ends with people. Dispatchers who catch a problem before it becomes a claim, drivers who know their routes cold, that’s what keeps freight moving.

It’s why we invest in a late-model fleet of Kenworth tractors and Utility refrigerated trailers running Thermo King, real-time satellite tracking on every unit, and in-cab safety camera systems fleetwide. Good equipment doesn’t replace good people. It just keeps them from fighting their tools to do the job right.

We’re utilizing idle-reduction technology across our fleet, optimizing routes to cut empty miles, and evaluating alternative-fuel options as they become viable at scale. We’re focused on sustainability because it’s the right way to run a fleet, not just a compliance box to check. Stevens Transport and the customers we serve are aligned on this: reducing emissions and reducing cost aren’t competing goals, they’re the same goal approached from two directions. We’re driving toward transportation solutions that meet the operational demands of temperature-controlled freight while lowering its environmental footprint.
