The executive leadership team is pleased to announce and honor the outstanding drivers who have demonstrated excellence and commitment throughout October 2025.


Henry McKinney

1st Place Company Driver of the Month

Henry McKinney

We are proud to recognize One Million Miler Henry McKinney as our October Company Driver of the Month. Henry, a retired U.S. Army veteran with 20 years of service, joined Stevens Transport in October 2016 after earning his CDL in Fort Hood. We extend our sincere appreciation for his service to our country.

In October, Henry logged an impressive 12,119 miles while maintaining a flawless service record. He was originally drawn to Stevens Transport because the company recognized and valued his military driving experience. Over the course of his career, he has also contributed as a driver trainer for six years.

Henry credits his success to always striving for excellence in everything he does. His advice for new drivers is: “Never think you know everything. You learn something out here every day. What they teach you in school is just a starting point. Once you get on the road, you’ll gain your own experience and build on it.”

When asked what he appreciates most about Stevens Transport, Henry highlights the independence drivers have: the ability to operate at their own pace, the freedom from forced loads, and the quality of the equipment.

Outside of work, Henry enjoys electronics, computers, and firearms.

James Hunsinger

Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

James Hunsinger

Please join us in congratulating James Hunsinger, our Company Driver of the Month Runner-Up! James has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since August 2023, when he began his professional driving career after earning his CDL through the Stevens Driving Academy. In October, James logged an impressive 12,742 miles while maintaining a perfect safety record.

James attributes his success to his enjoyment of the open road. He values the independence of driving, the opportunity to see new places, and the time spent away from home. His advice for new drivers is simple but powerful: “Be patient on the road. Patience will help keep you safe.”

When asked what he appreciates most about Stevens Transport, James highlighted the outstanding support he receives from Driver Managers and office staff. He notes that Road Rescue makes resolving equipment issues quick and easy, and he credits the team behind the scenes for consistently providing excellent support.

One of James’s most memorable experiences with Stevens Transport has been traveling to Vance, Canada, where he was able to witness the spectacular Rocky Mountains—an experience that left a lasting impression. His favorite part of being a driver is the solitude and the constant movement that comes with life on the road.

Outside of work, James enjoys going to the gym a few times a week, reading, and taking long walks.

Matthew Skyles

1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month

Matthew Skyles

Please join us in congratulating Matthew Skyles, a U.S. Army veteran with three years of service, on being named our Independent Contractor Driver of the Month for October. We extend our sincere gratitude for his service. Matthew joined Stevens Transport in August 2022 after earning his CDL from the Georgia Driving Academy in Columbus, Georgia. Prior to joining Stevens, he spent 10 years driving for FedEx and chose Stevens Transport after reading positive reviews on Indeed. In October, he logged an outstanding 14,301 miles, earning him this well-deserved recognition.

Throughout his career, Matthew has also contributed as a Driver Trainer, having trained between 13 and 15 students. He credits his success to doing things the right way—by following company policies and always “driving by the book.” His advice to new drivers is: “Pay attention, slow down, and keep your head on a swivel—among many other important things.”

When asked what he values most about Stevens Transport, Matthew emphasized the strong support system provided by headquarters. He notes that drivers are never alone on the road—there is always someone available to help, and that level of support makes all the difference.

Matthew’s favorite part of being a driver is the freedom of the open road and the opportunity to get paid while enjoying the scenery. Outside of work, he enjoys building and tinkering with projects, including making furniture and working with his hands.

Michael Reidel

Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month

Michael Reidel

Please join us in congratulating Michael Reidel, a U.S. Navy veteran with one year of service, on being named our October Independent Contractor of the Month Runner-Up! We extend our appreciation for his service to our country.

Michael began his career with Stevens Transport in September 2014 after earning his CDL from Western Truck Driving School in Washington State. In February 2017, he made the decision to transition into the Contractor Division, where he has continued to demonstrate exceptional performance. In October, Michael logged an impressive 13,518 miles, earning this well-deserved recognition.

Over the course of his career, Michael has served as a Driver Trainer for four years, during which he trained approximately 30 drivers. He credits his long-term success to simply doing a job he truly enjoys. His favorite part of being a driver is the opportunity to visit different cities across the country.

Michael’s advice for new drivers is straightforward and insightful: “It’s a lifestyle. You need to enjoy driving or you’re not going to make it.” He also appreciates the consistently new and well-maintained equipment provided by Stevens Transport.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending his time playing video games for entertainment.

Bryan Couch

1st Place New Driver of the Month

Bryan Couch

We are proud to recognize Bryan Couch as our October New Driver of the Month! Bryan joined Stevens Transport in June 2025 after earning his CDL from Tennessee Truck Driving School in Knoxville, Tennessee. Since then, he has demonstrated outstanding dedication and professionalism, logging an impressive 12,999 miles in October.

Bryan’s advice for new drivers is both practical and motivating: Set your mission, set your goals, and never put all your eggs in one basket. The sky is the limit—strive to become a better person every day.

When asked what he appreciates most about Stevens Transport, Bryan highlighted the excellent benefits, noting that every job has its pros and cons, but there is always a positive outcome to be found. His favorite part of being a driver is the opportunity to travel while earning a living. In just a few months, he has visited 46 states, with Las Vegas being his favorite city and Colorado one of his favorite states to explore.

Outside of work, Bryan enjoys doing puzzles, spending time with family, traveling, and relaxing whenever he has the chance.

Abdoul Balde

Runner-Up New Driver of The Month

Abdoul Balde

Congratulations to Abdoul Balde — October New Driver of the Month Runner-Up!

Abdoul Balde earned his CDL from All-State Career School in Essington, PA, and joined Stevens Transport in April 2025. In October, he logged an impressive 13,649 miles. He chose Stevens Transport after his instructor recommended it as the best company for drivers pursuing an over-the-road career.

Abdoul credits his success to his vision, strong work ethic, and commitment to always doing his best. He is driven by his desire to provide for his family, which motivates him every day on the road.

His advice for new drivers is to stay focused and prioritize personal growth over immediate earnings. He encourages new drivers to listen carefully to their trainers, learn from every load and every mile, and remain respectful and composed in all situations. According to Abdoul, “Put the hard work in and respect every driver—you’re all doing the same job.”

Abdoul appreciates Stevens Transport for its supportive environment, straightforward processes, diverse team, and dedication to helping drivers succeed. He values the company’s commitment to resolving issues quickly and ensuring equipment is properly maintained. As he puts it, “If I’m working hard, pay me what I deserve.”

Outside of work, Abdoul enjoys cooking, trying new foods, working out, and learning about the people in each city he travels to. His personal habits reflect his discipline—he does not smoke or drink and strives to be his best every day.

Sterling Foster & Regena Ford

1st Place Team of the Month

Sterling Foster and Regena Ford

We are proud to recognize Sterling Foster and Regena Ford as our October Team of the Month. This exceptional duo logged an impressive 22,845 miles, earning top honors for their outstanding performance.

Sterling and Regena began their careers with Stevens Transport in April 2025. Sterling earned his CDL through Atlanta Technical College in Atlanta, Georgia, while Regena completed her CDL training at US Truck Driving School. Sterling was drawn to Stevens Transport for the opportunity to grow, build a long-term career, travel, and earn a strong income. Regena joined the company based on a recommendation from her school.

Sterling credits much of his success to his teammate, sharing that he feels fortunate to have such a reliable and strong partner on the road. His advice for new drivers is to take chances, embrace discomfort, and network with those around you—because the connections you make early on, even in orientation, can become invaluable. Regena’s advice is simple and practical: “Make it through the training and learn as much as you can.”

When asked about what they enjoy most about Stevens Transport, Sterling highlights the company’s credibility, high training standards, strong safety culture, and the professionalism expected of every driver. Regena appreciates the independence that comes with the role, especially the ability to manage her own schedule as a contractor.

Outside of work, Sterling enjoys sleeping and day trading in the stock market. He previously enjoyed working out but hasn’t had the time recently. Regena loves shopping—especially for new shoes.

Norbert Kolozsvari

Norbert Kolozsvari
Please join us in congratulating One Million Miler Norbert Kolozsvari — our October Owner-Operator of the Month! Norbert Kolozsvari began his journey with Stevens Transport in September 2015 after earning his CDL through Careers Worldwide. In October, he logged an impressive 13,274 miles, further showcasing the dedication that has defined his career.

Norbert was drawn to Stevens Transport for the opportunity to build a career as a professional driver, along with the financial benefits, adventure, and freedom that over-the-road driving provides. Over the years, he also served as a Driver Trainer, mentoring new drivers for seven to eight years. He credits his success to perseverance, hard work, and a relentless determination to succeed. Norbert encourages new drivers to set clear goals by establishing one-year, five-year, and ten-year plans—focusing on long-term growth rather than looking solely at immediate earnings.

Norbert appreciates Stevens Transport for the opportunities it provides at every stage of a driver’s career—whether as a company driver, contractor, or owner-operator—making it possible for drivers to achieve their personal and professional goals. One of his most memorable accomplishments was paying off his truck, a milestone that represents both business ownership and personal achievement. His favorite aspects of being a driver are the adventure and the financial rewards. Outside of work, Norbert enjoys biking, working out—believing that “health is wealth”—as well as computer games, hiking, and spending time in nature.

Rolando Joseph

Trainer of the Month

Rolando Joseph

We are proud to recognize Rolando Joseph as our October Trainer of the Month! Rolando began his career with Stevens Transport in October 2022 after earning his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School. In October, he logged an impressive 18,121 miles, demonstrating his commitment to excellence both on the road and in the training he provides.

Rolando was drawn to Stevens Transport while seeking a long-term career, and with several cousins already working here, he followed their strong recommendations. As a Driver Trainer, Rolando takes great pride in helping new drivers grow. He finds it especially rewarding when his trainees develop into confident, capable professional drivers.

He attributes his success to consistently following company rules and maintaining high standards. His advice for new drivers is simple but essential: “Never be late with your loads and always be a safe driver.”

One of Rolando’s most memorable experiences is the constant travel—enjoying the opportunity to drive across the country and experience different states. His favorite part of being a professional driver is staying active and always keeping things moving.

Outside of work, Rolando enjoys listening to music and playing soccer.

Owen Waters Jr.

Owen Waters Jr.

We are proud to recognize One Million Miler Owen Waters Jr. as our October Trainer of the Month Runner-Up! Owen Waters Jr. began his journey in the transportation industry after completing his CDL training at Stevens Driving Academy. He joined Stevens Transport in April 2003 and transitioned to an Independent Contractor later that same year. This October, Owen logged an impressive 17,357 miles, further demonstrating the dedication and professionalism that define his long-standing career.

As a Driver Trainer, Owen has played a key role in developing the next generation of professional drivers. He has successfully trained more than 56 new drivers, guiding them into safe, confident, and successful solo careers with Stevens Transport. His trainees consistently describe him as an exceptional mentor—someone who connects with his students not only as an instructor but also as a supportive friend.

Owen attributes his success to his strong dedication to his family. Their support motivates him to push himself and continue growing every day. His advice to new drivers is invaluable: “Know what you’re getting into. Don’t look at it as a job—look at it as a career.”

When he isn’t training, Owen enjoys spending time with his family and watching sports.

Arturo Lopez

1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month

Arturo Lopez

We are proud to recognize Three Million Miler Arturo Lopez as our Dedicated Laredo Driver of the Month! Arturo Lopez began his career with Stevens Transport in December 1994 after completing his CDL training at Stevens Driving Academy. With a clear vision of building his own business, he transitioned into the Contractor Division prior to 2000. In October, Arturo once again demonstrated his dedication and consistency by logging an impressive 11,854 miles.

Arturo originally chose Stevens Transport after relocating from Arizona to Texas. Knowing Texas was a major hub for the trucking industry, he attended a career fair advertised in a local newspaper. There, he met industry professionals and immediately connected with what Stevens Transport had to offer. Arturo credits his long-term success to the programs Stevens provides—particularly the company’s strong freight network, supportive policies, and commitment to safety. He emphasizes that the safety program plays a major role in helping him stay protected on the road. His advice to new drivers is straightforward and essential: “Make sure you follow the policies—they’re there for the driver.”

For Arturo, working with Stevens Transport has been the best part of his professional experience, noting that the company consistently works to make a driver’s job easier. Outside of work, Arturo enjoys going home, relaxing, cooking, spending time with his family, and taking care of things around the house.

Christopher Ballenger

Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month

Christopher Ballenger

Please join us in congratulating Christopher Ballenger, our Runner-Up Dedicated Driver of the Month for October! Christopher has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since December 2022, beginning his professional driving career after earning his CDL through Stevens Driving Academy. In October, he demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill by logging 4,498 miles.

Christopher joined Stevens Transport after spending 20 years in an office career, viewing this as an opportunity to pursue something completely different. He credits much of his success to the support of his driver manager.

His advice for new drivers is to remain patient and avoid letting stress take over—especially when challenges arise. He emphasizes taking a deep breath, thinking situations through, and remembering that one poor decision can lead to another.

Christopher also highlights what he values most about Stevens Transport: “They can take somebody like me who never had any experience at all—someone who was clueless about what it took to drive a truck—and they teach you step by step. They are patient with you, and they keep your safety first and foremost.”

Outside of work, Christopher enjoys playing board games and video games with his family and loves spending quality time with them.
