Corey Erwin
1st Place Company Driver of the Month

Recognizing One-Million-Mile Haul-of-Famer Corey Erwin, as the Stevens Transport Company Driver-of-the-Month!
A proud graduate of Stevens Driving Academy, Corey earned his CDL in 2013 and quickly joined the Stevens Transport team as a company driver. Since then, he has built an impressive career on the road, highlighted by his achievement as a One-Million-Mile Haul-of-Famer. In January, Corey logged 10,867 miles, demonstrating the consistency, reliability, and dedication that make him a standout member of our fleet.
Corey understands that life on the road can present its challenges, but he firmly believes that success in trucking comes down to effort and commitment. As he often says, you truly get out of this industry what you put into it. Whether it’s putting in long miles, maintaining a positive mindset, or pushing through difficult conditions like heavy snow, Corey approaches every day with a strong work ethic and determination to keep moving forward.
When he’s not behind the wheel, Corey enjoys taking in the sights during his travels, browsing the internet, and relaxing with a good movie.

Jacinto “Jay” Ojeda III
Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Recognizing Jacinto “Jay” Ojeda III as the 2026 Stevens Transport Company Driver-of-the-Month Runner-Up.
Jay joined Stevens Transport in January 2021 after earning his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. In January, he logged an impressive 10,656 miles while maintaining a flawless service record, demonstrating his strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Growing up, Jay always knew he wanted to become a truck driver. With uncles in the industry and a father who worked as a diesel mechanic, he was introduced to trucks at an early age, often helping work on vehicles alongside his Dad. That early fascination with semis ultimately led him to pursue his dream career.
Jay appreciates Stevens Transport for its strong support system and employee-first culture. He values not having to worry about administrative challenges, knowing the team stands behind him to resolve issues efficiently.
Jay’s favorite part of being a driver is traveling the country and experiencing it alongside his wife. In his free time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, spending time with family and friends, and attending live music events.

Valentin Ramirez
1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month

Recognizing Valentin Ramirez as the Stevens Transport Independent Contractor-of-the-Month.
A proud graduate of Stevens Driving Academy, Valentin has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since February 2022. After earning his CDL and completing training, Valentin quickly set his sights on building a future in the industry by joining the Independent Contractor division and beginning his journey toward business ownership. In January he logged an impressive 11,765 miles, reflecting the strong work ethic and commitment that continue to drive his success.
Before coming to Stevens, Valentin gained hands-on experience operating a dually truck while pulling a 48-foot gooseneck trailer. That background gave him a solid foundation behind the wheel.
As he continues building his career and working toward his long-term goals, Valentin represents the kind of commitment, reliability, and drive that make the Stevens Transport team strong.
Outside of work, Valentin enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, making the most of his downtime whenever he’s off the road.

Mario Tovar Jr.
Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month

Recognizing Mario Tovar Jr. as the 2026 Stevens Transport Independent Contractor-of-the-Month Runner-Up.
Mario began his career with Stevens Transport in December 2024 after earning his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. In July 2025, he transitioned into the Contractor Division, where he has continued to demonstrate strong performance, professionalism, and a commitment to growth. In January, Mario logged 11,817 miles.
When asked what advice he would give to someone starting out in trucking, Mario acknowledges that the first month can be stressful, with long hours, time away from home, and the challenges of learning new skills such as backing and trip planning. However, he assures others that it becomes easier with time and experience.
Mario is impressed by the opportunities Stevens Transport has for advancement and values the company’s commitment to career development and upward mobility.
Off the road, Mario spends his free time riding motorcycles on the open road whenever he gets the chance.

D’Corian Taylor
1st Place New Driver of the Month

Recognizing D’Corian Taylor as the 2026 Stevens Transport New Driver-of-the-Month.
D’Corian joined Stevens Transport in April 2025 after earning his CDL through Stevens Driving Academy. Since completing his training, he has made an impressive start to his professional driving career. In January, D’Corian logged 11,272 miles, a strong milestone that reflects both his dedication and commitment to excellence on the road.
D’Corian was inspired to join Stevens after hearing positive experiences from friends who had previously completed the program. He was seeking a meaningful career change and saw the Stevens Driving Academy as the perfect opportunity. He says the Academy was an outstanding experience, praising the instructors for their commitment to the drivers.
D’Corian tells future drivers to take their time, plan their trips carefully, complete thorough pre-trips, and always keep safety as their top priority. He believes patience and preparation are essential qualities for long-term success in the trucking industry.
Off the road, D’Corian enjoys traveling and exploring new places. For him, driving is more than just a job, it’s both his profession and his passion.

Andrew Rodriguez
Runner-Up New Driver of The Month

Recognizing Andrew Rodriguez as the 2026 Stevens Transport New Driver-of-the-Month Runner-Up.
Andrew earned his CDL from HDS Phoenix Trucking School in Arizona and has quickly demonstrated strong performance and professionalism. In January, he logged 12,375 miles, reflecting his work ethic, discipline, and commitment to excellence.
Andrew attributes his success to organization and careful planning, ensuring fuel stops are cost-effective, paperwork is in order, routes are efficient, and weather conditions are monitored in advance. His proactive approach helps him stay on time and operate efficiently.
Andrew values the strong support system at Stevens and with the support he receives, it makes his job more rewarding and manageable.
One of his most memorable experiences was delivering to an Americold facility in Carthage, Missouri, where drivers unload inside an underground cave, an experience unlike anything he had seen before. In his free time, he enjoys grilling, off-roading, and spending time by the river.

Tobey Spears & Bryan Ard
1st Place Team of the Month

Recognizing Tobey Spears and Bryan Ard as the 2026 Stevens Transport Team Drivers-of-the-Month.
Tobey began his career with Stevens Transport in October 2018 after earning his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School in Florida, while Bryan joined the team in November 2023 after graduating from 160 Driving Academy in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Together, they achieved 23,406 miles in January, placing them among the top teams in the company.
Tobey was inspired to pursue a career in trucking by his father, who spent 40 years as a professional driver. He instills his father’s example of the value of hard work and earning an honest living. Tobey attributes his success to the support of his parents, his faith, and the comprehensive training he received in at Tampa Truck Driving School. He says what he values most about Stevens Transport is the family-oriented culture, noting the exceptional support he receives from Robert Solimani, Arnnes Hamzic, and his Driver Manager Owen Eckblad, as well as the Amazon team for keeping operations running smoothly.
Bryan’s journey to Stevens Transport began after he received his CDL from 160 Driving Academy in North Little Rock, Arkansas In the future, he hopes to become a driver trainer because he enjoys the team environment. He believes that building connections and learning from others’ experiences have helped him succeed. One of the best parts of working at Stevens is the opportunity to grow as much as you want. He also enjoys traveling the country.
When he’s home, Bryan prefers to rest and enjoy quiet time after spending so much time on the road, while Tobey enjoys working with metal, riding bicycles, and participating in water sports at the beach.

Ghiyath “Gus” Haiek
Owner-Operator of the Month
Recognizing Three Million Mile Haul-of-Famer, Ghiyath “Gus” Haiek as the 2026 Stevens Transport Owner Operator-of-the-Month.
Gus began his career with Stevens Transport in March 2006 after earning his CDL through US Truck Driving School in Michigan. With an extraordinary three million safe miles achieved throughout his career, he continues to exemplify dedication and consistency. In January, Gus logged 13,305 miles.
Gus was introduced to Stevens Transport through US Truck Driving School and chose the company based on the opportunities it offers and its reputation. For Gus, Stevens has lived up to its reputation.
Gus approaches each day with determination, stays in close communication with his Driver Manager for load planning, and remains proactive in managing his business. He also believes in the importance of fully understanding the equipment he operates, which is demonstrates daily.
When asked about his favorite part of the job, Gus says that he truly enjoys the open road with all the mountains, changing landscapes, and scenic views across the country. While he spends much of his time working, he values the moments he is able to share with family.

Luis Sierra
Trainer of the Month

It is an honor to recognize Luis Sierra as the 2026 Stevens Transport Driver Trainer-of-the-Month.
Luis began his career with Stevens Transport in January 2020 after earning his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. In January, he logged 13,020 miles, demonstrating his continued dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence both as a driver and mentor.
After previously working as a truck driver, Luis returned to the industry because he views trucking not simply as a job, but as a lifestyle. As a trainer, Luis encourages his trainees to focus on safety, pay attention to details, and remain proactive, always thinking one step ahead to prevent accidents and operate at the highest level. Luis takes great pride in maintaining relationships with his trainees once they are on their own.
Luis values the supportive culture at Stevens and appreciates being recognized as an individual, not just a truck number. He also reflects proudly on the COVID era, when professional drivers were acknowledged nationwide as essential workers.
Luis enjoys the freedom of the road, traveling to new cities, and experiencing different cuisines across the country. In his free time, he prioritizes family and plans cookouts, makes home improvements, and spends meaningful time with them.

Hector Ibarra
Runner Up Trainer of the Month

Recognizing One Million-Mile Haul of Famer and four year U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Hector Ibarra as the 2026 Stevens Transport Driver Trainer-of-the-Month Runner-Up.
Hector began his transportation career after earning his CDL from Roadmaster in San Antonio, Texas and officially joined Stevens Transport in December 2015. In January, he logged 11,172 miles, reflecting his continued dedication, professionalism, and commitment to safety.
Hector entered the trucking industry seeking a meaningful career change after years of working in other industries, including 17 years as a chef and restaurant manager. His leadership background, combined with the discipline instilled during his time in the Marine Corps, led him into a training role.
He attributes his success to patience, a focus on safety and he believes in approaching every situation with professionalism and understanding.
The most memorable experiences for Hector have been the opportunity to travel the country, taking in scenic highways, sunrises, and sunsets along the way. For Hector, driving is a form of peace and focus, his time on the road is his “zen.”
When at home, he enjoys cooking and spending meaningful time with his grandchildren and family.

Richard Berrios
1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month

It is an honor to recognize Richard Berrios as the 2026 Stevens Transport Dedicated Driver-of-the-Month.
Richard began his career with Stevens Transport in June 2022 after earning his CDL from All-State Career School in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. In January, he logged 11,368 miles, reflecting his strong work ethic and professionalism
After overcoming a workplace injury, Richard used that time to earn his CDL and pursue new opportunities in trucking. With Stevens, he bagan OTR and later transitioned to the Kraft Dedicated account, eventually moving into the Tanker Division, where he has helped support its growth and now serves as a trainer.
Richard attributes his success to humility, patience, and a safety-first mindset, something he learned in his training. He encourages new drivers to take their time, stay focused, and never rush.
He values Stevens Transport for its strong safety culture, consistent miles, and supportive environment. One of his most memorable experiences was training with Julian Gonzalez, whose mentorship helped shape his approach to the profession.
When he’s off the road, Richard enjoys spending time with his family and investing in rental properties to build a lasting legacy.

Gerald Dubriel
Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month

Recognizing Gerald Dubriel as the 2026 Stevens Transport Dedicated Driver-of-the-Month Runner-Up.
Gerald joined Stevens Transport in July 1997 after earning his CDL from Diesel Driving Academy. In January, he logged 11,880 miles, reflecting his commitment to the trucking industry Over the course of 29 years, Gerald has built a reputation as one of the very best, achieving more than three million safe miles throughout his distinguished career.
Stevens Transport has taught him to respect the road, the motoring public, and the importance of safety, regardless of how many safe miles he has behind him. Over the years, Gerald has served as a company driver, an owner-operator, and a driver trainer, achieving success as a business owner along he way.
Gerald always dreamed of becoming a professional over-the-road driver and remains grateful to Stevens Transport for the opportunities provided throughout his career. He advises his fellow drivers to set aside pride, listen to experienced professionals, take your time, and never rush. He says your destination will always be there, so drive within your comfort zone.
In his free time, Gerald enjoys yard work and relaxing in his recliner.
