Michael Pearson
1st Place Company Driver of the Month
Please join us in congratulating our Company Driver of the Month, Michael Pearson! Michael, a member of the Stevens Transport driving force since April of 2024, following his graduation from Shippers Choice! This month Michael ran 12,242 miles! Michael attributes his success to maintaining a strong work ethic and a positive mindset. He advises new drivers to practice patience, acknowledging that the job can be challenging, yet rewarding. Michael highlights that one of the greatest strengths of Stevens Transport is their commitment to supporting drivers with any issues they may encounter, stressing that communication is paramount. His favorite aspect of being a driver is the autonomy it provides; he enjoys the flexibility of creating his own schedule, and prides himself on meeting delivery deadlines. Outside of work, Michael enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing pool.

Edward Boechler
Runner Up Company Driver of the Month
Our Runner Up Company Driver of the Month is Edward Boechler! Edward, a member of the Stevens Transport driving force since January 2009 and a two million miler, graduated from United States Trucking Driving School with his CDL. Over the month of August, Edward was able to run nearly 12,492 miles. Edward is now focused on his next significant milestone: reaching three million miles. When discussing the key factors behind his success, he highlights the importance of patience and the invaluable support of his wife. Edward advises new drivers to prioritize continuous learning, always be prepared for your next journey. Approach every mile with focus and commitment. Outside of work, he enjoys watching movies with his family.

Walter Walker II
1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month
Please join us in congratulating our Independent Contractor of the Month, Walter Walker II. Walter, a member of the Stevens Transport driving force since June of 2023, graduated from Lonestar in Houston with his CDL. Walter ran 13,149 miles and maintained a perfect service record! Walter attributes his success to the invaluable support of his Driver Manager, Ms. Felicia Donnerson, and his driver trainers, Murphy Michael and Darrel Roberson. He advises new drivers to remain patient during the initial stages, as progress may be slow, but perseverance is key to building financial stability. One of the standout features of Stevens Transport is the strong support network that encourages continuous improvement. When Walter faces challenges, the Stevens staff provides constructive guidance to enhance his performance. Walter’s fondest memory with Stevens is the realization that work can be enjoyable; driving is not just a job, but an opportunity for fun. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball, gaming, going for walks, and taking time to relax.

Kyle Thomas
Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month
Our Runner Up Independent Contractor of the Month is Kyle Thomas! Kyle, a member of the Stevens Transport driving force since February of 2022, graduated with his CDL from Georgia Driving Academy! In the month of August Kyle was able to run 12,107 miles, earning him this great award! Kyle attributes his success to hard work and dedication, believing that consistent effort leads to achieving one’s goals. His advice for new drivers is to stay focused and continually seek opportunities for learning and growth. Kyle highlights the best aspect of Stevens Transport as its family-oriented support system, which fosters a strong sense of community among employees. Outside of work, he enjoys working out, playing sports, and reading.

Casey Brewster
1st Place Grad Driver of the Month
Please join us in congratulating our Grad Driver of the Month, Casey Brewster! Casey, who joined the Stevens Transport driving force in June of 2024, graduated with his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy! Casey has quickly established himself as a highly skilled driver, achieving a perfect safety and service record for August and earning this prestigious award. During that month, he logged an impressive 10,497 miles. Having considered joining Stevens Transport for some time, Casey found that everything aligned perfectly for him to make the transition. His advice for new drivers is to actively listen to their trainers and instructors, take notes, and commit to doing the necessary work. He emphasizes that being a driver is not a job; it’s a lifestyle. One of the standout features of Stevens Transport is its training program, which benefits from the expertise of many knowledgeable drivers who are always willing to offer guidance. Casey appreciates that one of the best aspects of being a driver is the opportunity to travel, as he is rarely in the same location for more than a day or two—essentially getting paid to see the country. Outside of work, Casey enjoys playing video games on his laptop and staying connected with friends and family through phone conversations.

Brandon Frost
Runner-Up Grad Driver of The Month
Our Runner Up Grad Driver of the Month is Brandon Frost! Brandon, a member of the Stevens Transport driving force since May of 2024, graduated with his CDL from the Stevens Driving Academy! In August, Brandon ran 10,402 miles. Brandon attributes his success to staying busy and maintaining focus on the road, with timely deliveries as his top priority. His advice for new drivers is to prioritize safety, engage in proper trip planning, and minimize wait times to reach shippers and receivers as quickly as possible. Brandon highlights the training program at Stevens Transport as one of its greatest strengths, stating that he felt well-prepared for his responsibilities. Whenever he has questions or feels uncertain, he appreciates the prompt assistance from Stevens staff. His favorite aspect of being a driver is the opportunity to utilize various skills, manage his time effectively, and choose his routes and destinations. Outside of work, Brandon enjoys playing the guitar, watching boxing, and following classic Mike Tyson fights.

Owen Waters & Jessica Garces
1st Place Team of the Month
Please join us in congratulating our Team Drivers of the Month, Owen Waters Jr. and Jessica Garces! Owen started his journey at Stevens Transport in April of 2013, following his graduation from Stevens Driving Academy! Jessica began her journey with Stevens Transport in November 2022 after graduating from Lonestar College in Houston. Together with her co-driver Owen, they achieved an impressive 23,950 miles in August, ranking among the top teams in the company. Owen has successfully trained over 50 new drivers, earning a reputation as an exceptional mentor who connects deeply with his trainees. Jessica credits her success to Owen, stating that their partnership transformed her experience, especially during her initial challenges. She advises new drivers to be patient, emphasizing that success takes time. She also praises Stevens Transport’s comprehensive training program, which she believes prepares drivers exceptionally well. The day she obtained her CDL stands out as her most memorable experience, and she enjoys the peace of the open road. Outside of work, Owen enjoys watching sports and spending time with family, while Jessica loves playing tennis, relaxing at the beach, reading, and listening to audiobooks in the truck.

Ashley Earl
Owner-Operator of the Month
Congratulations Ashley Earl, Owner-Operator of the Month! Ashley joined Stevens Transport in November of 2012, following CDL Training at Stevens Driving Academy. In her quest to establish her own business, Ashley made a strategic move by joining the contractor division in 2013. In August alone, she impressively covered 12,685 miles, showcasing her commitment to the open road. Being an independent contractor, Ashley relishes both the freedom of her role and the stunning landscapes she encounters along the way. A testament to her skill and dedication, she is an accomplished 2 million-miler. Ashley attributes her professional success to relentless hard work and the influence of her father, a celebrated truck driver who inspired her journey. For aspiring drivers, Ashley offers invaluable advice: persistence is key. She encourages newcomers to keep pushing forward, even in the face of adversity. While her schedule leaves little room for leisure, she treasures the time spent with her family when the opportunity arises, demonstrating a strong commitment to both her profession and personal life.

Anthony Ejenihu
Trainer of the Month
Please join us in congratulating our Trainer of the Month, Anthony Ejenihu! Anthony, a member of the Stevens Transport driving force since April of 2017, following his graduation from Lone Star College! In the month of August he covered 19,002 miles. Anthony, a distinguished member of the Stevens Transport Haul of Fame, has proudly achieved the remarkable milestone of one million miles. Known for his resilience and tenacity, he takes great pride in his business acumen and actively shares valuable insights and tips that he has gained throughout his journey. His advice to new drivers is rooted in patience and dedication: “Take it mile by mile, day by day, and success will follow.” For Anthony, driving transcends mere employment; it is a calling that offers a unique opportunity to explore and create unforgettable experiences along life’s journey. With every mile he covers, Anthony captures moments, discovers new destinations, and fully embraces the freedom that life on the road affords him. He expresses profound gratitude for the Stevens Transport family, which has fostered a supportive community that has been instrumental in helping him reach significant milestones and continue his success as a driver.

Elza Deove Jr.
Runner Up Trainer of the Month
Our Runner Up Trainer of the Month is Elza Devoe Jr.! Elza, a member of the Stevens Transport driving force since July of 2022, following his graduation from Lonestar College in Houston! In August, Elza drove an impressive 17,855 miles as a dedicated driver trainer at Stevens Transport. He has successfully guided numerous new drivers to become confident solo operators and valued members of the Stevens driving force. Elza encourages aspiring drivers, emphasizing that trucking offers invaluable life lessons in structure and pacing. He believes it is a fulfilling career path that fosters personal and professional growth. One of the highlights of Elza’s experience at Stevens Transport is the company’s commitment to safety, which he views as a cornerstone of the organization. A particularly memorable moment for him was when he was assigned his first truck, marking a significant milestone in his journey. His family takes great pride in his achievements and appreciates his success in the field. Elza’s favorite aspect of being a driver is the opportunity to witness the breathtaking landscapes of America. Outside of work, he enjoys watching sports, particularly NASCAR racing, as well as embracing life’s adventures.

Dale “Bob” Lockrey
1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Dedicated Driver of the Month, Dale “Bob” Lockrey! Bob has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport driving force since January 2007, after graduating with his CDL from the United States Truck Driver Training School. Throughout his distinguished career at Stevens, he has received multiple Driver of the Month awards and earned a prestigious spot in the million-mile Haul of Fame. In August, Bob covered an impressive 7,589 miles, leading the Rail Dedicated drivers in total mileage while maintaining a flawless service record. Outside of work, Bob enjoys watching football and finding ways to escape the harsh Michigan winters. His dedication to excellence and commitment to his craft continue to make him a standout within the Stevens Transport community.

Oduwa Egbon
Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month
Our Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month is Independent Contractor Oduwa Egbon! Oduwa, a member of the Stevens Transport driving force since December of 2021, graduated with his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy! In August, Oduwa achieved an impressive 13,253 miles, earning him a well-deserved award for his outstanding performance. He advises new drivers to cultivate a genuine interest in driving and emphasizes that patience is essential for success. He encourages them to engage with their team members, such as their Driver Manager for guidance and support. Oduwa values the supportive culture at Stevens Transport, noting that the company truly listens to its drivers, making them feel heard and comfortable. One of his most memorable moments with Stevens was completing his first contract, which he described as a significant achievement that filled him with pride. Outside of work, Oduwa enjoys playing video games on his Sony PlayStation, jumping rope, and doing push-ups, as staying fit is very important to him. He also loves listening to good music, which enhances his downtime.
