Shannon Caldwell

1st Place Company Driver of the Month

Image of Shannon Caldwell We are pleased to announce Shannon Caldwell is our January Company Driver of the Month! Shannon joined Stevens Transport in June 2024 after completing his CDL training at Arbuckle Truck Driving School in Lone Grove, Oklahoma.

In January, Shannon drove an impressive 11,816 miles, reflecting his dedication and strong work ethic. He attributes his success to the support of his Driver Manager, Shanel Ramos, and believes having a great Driver Manager can make all the difference. Shannon appreciates the beautiful fleet and attention to equipment and technology by Stevens Transport. He also values the friendships he’s made here and the community he continues to build. Shannon’s favorite aspect of being a driver is enjoying the independence and finds it a fulfilling and straightforward career because hard work simply leads to rewarding miles.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys golfing and fishing. He cherishes spending quality time with his 6-year-old daughter and recently celebrated her birthday with family on February 13th.

Andres Perez-Rodriguez

Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Haul of Fame Million Miler, Andres Perez-Rodriguez, our January Company Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Andres started his career with Stevens Transport in October 2001 and earned his CDL with Stevens Driving Academy.

Andres is a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the U.S. National Guard. In 1999, as Andres considered re-enlisting, he explored new career opportunities. He reached out to a Stevens recruiter and embarked on a new path! In January, Andres covered an impressive 11,548 miles! He attributes his success to consistently following instructions, doing the right thing, and maintaining strong integrity.

Andres values Stevens Transport’s commitment to the drivers and supporting them in many ways, oftentimes, above and beyond what someone would expect. Stevens Transport has also provided the opportunity to make his dream of traveling to all 50 states a reality. When asked about his favorite part of being a driver, Andres shares, “Everything! I can be my own boss, manage my time, and rest without distractions.” He emphasizes that it isn’t all for the money—he’s in it for the joy of the journey.

Outside of work, Andres enjoys traveling the world, maintaining his fitness, and living a healthy lifestyle. He strongly believes that taking care of yourself today will ensure your body will take care of you tomorrow. He also enjoys playing chess and spending time in nature.

Ralph Jennings

1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Haul of Fame Million Miler, Ralph Jennings, our Independent Contractor of the Month! Ralph earned his CDL from Roadmaster in Jacksonville, Florida, and joined Stevens Transport in January 2011.

In January, Ralph covered a very impressive 13,024 miles and continues to maintain a flawless service record! Motivated by his great training experience, Ralph spent many years as a Driver Trainer, dedicated to teaching new students in the same way he was taught. He finds great fulfillment in seeing the accomplishments of the students he trained. Ralph appreciates Stevens Transport’s commitment to safety and having the best equipment on the road. One of his most memorable moments with Stevens was his Million Mile milestone and accomplishment, his induction into the Haul of Fame in 2018!

Ralph attributes much of his success to Stevens Transport, for providing him with the opportunities and support to enhance his skillset and showcase his abilities. He is thankful for Mr. Steve Aaron and his vision for building Stevens Transport.

Outside of work, Ralph enjoys being a DJ and playing great music for people to enjoy. He previously worked at radio stations and continues to share his passion for music as often as he can.

Thomas Legg

Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month

Image of Thomas LeggWe want to extend our congratulations to Thomas Legg, our Independent Contractor of the Month Runner-Up! Thomas became a part of the Stevens Transport team in January 2020 after earning his CDL from Diesel Driving Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana.

In January, Thomas covered an impressive 12,134 miles and attributes his success to being detail-oriented and having a strong sense of self-motivation, saying, “I just have to get the job done—people to take care of, bills to pay.” When asked about Stevens Transport, Thomas praised the company for always taking care and supporting the drivers. One of his favorite aspects of being a driver is the opportunity to explore the country. Before becoming a driver for Stevens, he rarely left Louisiana, and now he enjoys driving through the mountains and taking in the beautiful scenery.

Outside of work, Thomas enjoys spending time with his friends and family.

Quincey Farr Sr.

Please join us in congratulating Quincey Farr, Sr. as our January New Driver of the Month! Quincey began his journey with Stevens Transport in October 2024 after successfully earning his CDL at the Stevens Driving Academy.

In January, Quincey drove an outstanding 12,169 miles, showcasing his dedication and skill. His decision to become a truck driver stemmed from his long-standing passion for driving, which he decided to pursue as a career. He believes that Stevens Transport provided him with the opportunity to start a new career, and he appreciates the supportive team and positive work environment that sets the company apart. Being named New Driver of the Month is an honor Quincey holds in high regard, and he is grateful for the recognition. He credits his success to the support of his family.

Outside of work, Quincey enjoys taking it easy, cooking, and fishing.

Jorge Mendoza

Please join us in congratulating Jorge Mendoza, our January New Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Jorge earned his CDL from Careers World Wide and became part of the Stevens Transport team in September 2024.

In January, Jorge reached 10,527 miles, demonstrating his dedication and skill to his new career. He encourages new drivers to remain patient, prioritize continuous learning, and view the time on the road as valuable opportunities for growth and success. He attributes being named New Driver of the Month Runner-Up to having a strong work ethic and being dedicated to doing great things in a new career. He views it as a fresh start to great options. He is thankful for the support of a close-knit network of other drivers and his family. His favorite aspect of being a truck driver is the freedom and independence the open road provides, along with the fulfillment of contributing to the nation’s supply chain.

Outside of work, Jorge enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends.

Antonio Hale & Casey Hicks

1st Place Team of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Antonio Hale and Casey Hicks, our January Team Drivers of the Month! Antonio began his career with Stevens Transport in December 2013 after earning his CDL from Careers Worldwide, while Casey joined the team in August 2023 after graduating from Georgia Driving Academy. Together, they achieved an impressive 23,637 miles in January, placing them among the top teams within the company.
Antonio, a former Driver Trainer and appreciative of the different opportunities available to drivers, wanted to try Team Driving. He attributes his success to the strong support he receives from the Contractor Division Business Advisors and the company’s clear messaging of the importance of safety and other processes. His advice to new drivers is straightforward, “Follow the system. Work the system the way it’s designed. It’s designed for your success—don’t try to change it.” Antonio also highlights the community atmosphere at Stevens Transport, where he has always felt treated with respect and care.

Casey, who previously worked in sales, joined Stevens to learn a new skill, travel, and shift his career trajectory. He credits his success to the transparency and effective training provided by his Driver Trainers. For new drivers, his advice is to embrace the rigorous and essential training process.

Outside of work, Casey is a skilled musician, proficient in guitar, piano, and drums, and enjoys reading. Antonio is a Grill Master who participates in BBQ competitions! He also and enjoys fishing in his free time. We are incredibly proud of Antonio and Casey’s achievements and look forward to their continued success.

Jarrod Bettis

Owner-Operator of the Month

We are proud to congratulate Jarrod Bettis, our January Owner-Operator of the Month! Jarrod has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since August 2022, after earning his CDL from Careers Worldwide.

In January, he drove an impressive 12,959 miles, securing his spot among the top Owner-Operators. Before becoming an Owner-Operator, Jarrod spent time as a Driver Trainer. He credits his success in his new career to his strong work ethic, stating, “I know how to work. You have to have the drive and willpower to succeed.” Jarrod’s advice for new drivers is simple but effective: “Be careful, pay attention, stay safe, and you’ll be successful.”

After his mother’s passing and having a new perspective on life, Jarrod retired from a 20-year corporate career in a different industry to do something he’s always wanted – drive. He reflects on his new career journey saying, “After being in one career for so long, it’s been amazing to see and experience so much in this new field. It’s beautiful out here!” Jarrod appreciates that Stevens Transport provides all the necessary tools and support for success and feels encouraged every day. “They teach you everything you need to know, and they fight for you. The people you call are always there to help, especially Manny Espinoza—he will guide you in the right direction. Stevens won’t let you fail; and unlike other companies that are sink or swim, Stevens carries you.”

Jarrod’s favorite part of being a driver is the opportunity to drive the country, explore new places, and enjoy diverse cuisines. Outside of work, Jarrod enjoys embracing life’s beautiful experiences and making the most of his time.

Mario Williams

Please join us in congratulating Three Million Mile Haul of Famer, Mario Williams, our January Trainer of the Month! Mario has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since February 2005 and received his CDL from Georgia Driving Academy.

Mario is a dedicated Driver Trainer who achieved an outstanding 22,282 miles in January! Over the course of his career, Mario has trained over 215 new drivers, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in both driving and mentorship. Mario is highly regarded as one of our most consistent Independent Contractors at Stevens Transport. His intelligence, grounded demeanor, and goal-oriented mindset make him a dependable and trusted figure for many. Throughout his tenure as a trainer, he has not only imparted invaluable driving knowledge and business acumen, he also maintains his stellar reputation among customers, fellow drivers, and the entire Stevens Transport team.

For Mario, driving is not just a job—it’s a daily opportunity for growth and success. With a disciplined and steadfast approach, he lives by the belief that clear goals can position individuals to achieve their desired outcomes. This philosophy is reflected in his daily routine, if it’s maintaining a healthy lifestyle on the road or consistently driving toward his personal and professional success. Although Mario holds a special fondness for the Pacific Northwest, he embraces every destination as his favorite, inspired by his personal mantra: “…just go.” This drive, both literal and figurative, fuels his passion for the open road and continues to motivate him toward new achievements.

Bobbie Woodward

Runner Up Trainer of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Bobby Woodward as our Trainer of the Month Runner-Up! Bobby has been a valuable member of the Stevens Transport team since March 2021, after receiving his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy.

In January, Bobby logged an incredible 17,084 miles! As a Driver Trainer, Bobby has successfully mentored 12 trainees and takes great pride in seeing his trainees succeed! Helping others is truly fulfilling for Bobby and his philosophy is simple: “If you’re able to give back, do so.” He is committed to mentoring students and works to be as available as possible for all trainees. Bobby learned valuable information from David Arriasola, his Driver Trainer, with whom he occasionally stays in touch. He also attributes his success to a focused and strong mindset. Bobby advises new drivers to always strive to do things the best way possible, ensuring safety and productivity. He emphasizes that success is achievable with dedication.

For Bobby, one of the best aspects of Stevens Transport is the company’s diversity and the opportunity to travel to any city. He appreciates the comfort of communicating with planners and being an active participant in the planning process. His favorite part of being a driver is the opportunity to experience the beauty of the U.S., appreciating the changing scenery as he travels to different locations every day. Outside of work, Bobby enjoys gaming, fishing, and camping.

“TA” Wajarapol Phimsoutham

We are proud to congratulate Million Mile Haul of Famer, “TA” Wajarapol Phimsoutham as our January Dedicated Driver of the Month! TA has been an invaluable member of the Stevens Transport team since June 2005, after earning his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy.

TA exemplifies excellence in his driving career. TA has spent time as a Driver Trainer and a member of the Kraft Dedicated fleet. Both contributing to and shaping his career and expertise in great ways. Close to reaching the next milestone of two million miles, TA focuses exclusively on local routes. He attributes his success to his passion for the job, noting that he finds enjoyment in his work, and enjoys the opportunity to travel and explore new places. His advice to new drivers is to familiarize themselves with the system, remain adaptable to the varied nature of the job, and focus on completing each trip successfully and to the best of their ability. He emphasizes the importance of rest, and a good night’s sleep is crucial for success on the road.

TA highlights Stevens Transport’s swift response in communication and enjoys the high quality of the equipment. He greatly appreciates the cutting-edge technology that Stevens provides, which enhances his driving experience.

When off the road, TA enjoys golf, watching movies, attending concerts, and going to sporting events, particularly basketball and Texas Rangers games.

Sean Mathews

Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month

We are pleased to recognize Sean Matthews as our Dedicated Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Sean joined Stevens Transport in February 2024 after earning his CDL from CFI Truck Driving School.

Sean is on the LIDL Dedicated fleet. Also an experienced Driver Trainer, he takes great pride in mentoring others and looks forward to additional opportunities. “I take my job very seriously,” says Sean. “My ultimate goal is to own my own transportation company.” He is happy for the recognition and appreciates Josie Garza (Driver Recruiting) for her continued support. Sean’s advice to new drivers is simple: “Take your time. Success won’t happen all at once. Stay careful on the road, get the job done, and you will succeed.” Sean’s favorite part of working for Stevens Transport is the company’s commitment to success, with reliable, efficient trucks equipped with the latest technology. He appreciates the hospitality and kindness shown by the Stevens Transport staff, having made a lasting impression on him. Sean’s favorite aspect of being a driver is transporting freight across the states and the ability to enjoy the changing landscapes of different cities.

Outside of work, Sean is an adventure enthusiast who enjoys riding dirt bikes, motorcycles, and skydiving—he describes them as exhilarating experiences and everyone should try them! Fun fact, he has also had the unique opportunity to fly an airplane.
