Michael Bush

1st Place Company Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Michael Bush, the Stevens Transport Company Driver of the Month! Michael’s dedication and impressive track record at Stevens Transport are truly commendable. Michael averages over 8K monthly miles and in March, covered over 10K miles! Michael has been recognized for many accomplishments over his career including his achievement of driving 2 million miles (April 2018) and second recognition in the Stevens Transport Hall of Fame, Company Driver of the Month Runner Up (May 2020), and twenty years of service (2022). He exemplifies professionalism and dedication daily. We are incredibly grateful for his hard work and excellence.

John Douglas

Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Congratulations to John Douglas, our March Company Driver of the Month Runner-Up! John is from Fort Worth, TX and is a retired fireman. Wanting to experience what his father did for a living, John decided to get his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy and joined Stevens Transport in July of 2011. Dedicated and focused, John averages 10K monthly miles and almost 12K in March. John has had a very distinguished career already. In 2022, John was named Driver of the Year for Stevens Transport and is also a member of the Stevens Transport Haul of Fame. With over 1.5MM to date, he is well on his way to 2 million miles! A humble man, he is appreciative of the recognition and the “pat on the back”. He credits Stevens Driving Academy for his success and believes it is the best for training because of the time spent on understanding driving and the safety practices. When John is not on the road, he enjoys time with his family.

Suzette Guidry

1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month

Image of Suzette GuidryCongratulations to Suzette Guidry, our March Independent Contractor Driver! Suzette was born and raised in Crowley, Louisiana and recalls always wanting to be a driver. After raising her kids, the opportunity presented itself and she took the first steps to becoming a driver and got her CDL. In December 2022, Suzette came to Stevens after a friend shared the details on the in depth training program available and in April 2023, Suzette made the decision to become an Independent Contractor. Suzette averages over 10K miles per month, and drove over 12K miles in March. Suzette credits her success to her determination, the support from her family, and having a great Driver Manager, Jake Raich, who has continuously made himself available when needed. To new drivers, Suzette encourages them to, “…never give up and fight for where you want to be with your career.” When not on the road, Suzette enjoys traveling, spending time with her kids, and resides just outside of Lafayette, staying true to her Cajun roots, where “life is rich and easy”. This is Suzette’s second award and was previously named Driver of the Month in August of 2023.

Sadia Hoover

Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month

image of Sadia HooverCongratulations to Sadia Hoover, Independent Contractor Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Sadia joined Stevens Transport in July 2022 and became an Independent Contractor in August of 2022. She is a proud 2nd generation truck driver and independent contractor. She received her CDL from CDL University of Oklahoma. Sadia chose Stevens Transport because everything offered and she knew it was exactly what she needed in order to be successful in the industry. Sadia had an incredible month, driving over 12K miles. Consistent in her method and routine, Sadia averages almost 12K miles per month. She credits her success to her mentors and the knowledge they have shared that she puts into practice each day. She also credits having a strong support system and her great Driver Manager, Owen Eckblad, for contributing greatly to her success.

Ray Jender

1st Place Grad Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Ray Jender, New Driver of the Month! Ray earned his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School. Appreciative of the thorough training, Ray enjoyed his entire experience at TTDS and is grateful for his driver trainer and all the program offered. Ray joined Stevens Transport upon graduating in November of 2023. With just over 10K monthly miles, he is motivated and determined to continue his success. He is especially grateful for Stevens Transport and the chance given to him to have this rewarding career. He enjoys the time on the road and believes it is an opportunity to grow in many ways. He attributes staying observant, “channel surfing” the environment, and being alert, to his success as a new driver. His favorite part of being a driver is when he’s asked to blow the horn. The joy it brings to the kids is incredible and also brings joy and moments of nostalgia to Ray. Ray is from a small town outside of Chicago and is a lifelong Bears fan with great stories to share! When off the road, he enjoys fishing in the Florida waters and time with his family. Ray is eternally optimistic and his welcoming personality is inspirational and contagious!

Andrew Brown

Runner-Up Grad Driver of The Month

Congratulations to Andrew Brown, New Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Andrew was born and raised in Miami, FL, and comes from a family of drivers, joining his father and two brothers. A graduate of Tampa Truck Driving School, Andrew is thankful for the great instructors and enjoyed the training at TTDS. Giving him the foundation to be successful, Andrew notes that Trainer Christopher Davis and his hands on approach, took the training experience to a higher level and he is grateful to have that. Andrew came to Stevens Transport in November of 2023 and chose Stevens because of the training opportunities. Andrew is an independent worker, striving to be the best and using all tools available, apparent in the 11K miles recently covered! For those considering becoming a professional driver, Andrew encourages getting a CDL sooner than later because it’s worth it and to focus on the details, like reversing. When off the road, Andrew loves time with his family and enjoys country music!

Jim & Ann Lewis

1st Place Team of the Month

Image of Jim and Ann LewisCongratulations to Jim and Ann Lewis, our March Team of the Month! Team Drivers Jim & Ann are both originally from CA and have been married for over 28 years! They have been driving for Stevens Transport for 14 of those years with great accomplishments! Ann is a third generation driver and received her first CDL in 1990 and later from Stevens Driving Academy. After serving in the US Army, Jim went to his father-in-law for advice and soon found himself with his CDL. After the graduation of their youngest child and a chat with a Stevens Transport recruiter, Jim & Ann decided to go on the road together and they haven’t looked back! Named Team of the Year (2019), Team of the Year Runner Up (2016, 2022), Team of the Month (multiple months), they are also amongst a prestigious group of drivers in the Stevens Transport Haul of Fame as 2 Million Milers and are just around the bend from their next milestone of reaching three million miles! Traveling together, creating memories, taking in the rich history and surroundings, all play a part to what keeps them going. Jim & Ann are incredibly grateful for Stevens Transport and the opportunities that have made their careers so rewarding. Their bright and positive outlook contribute to why they are a great team on and off the road! In their down time, Ann is an accomplished writer, skilled in marital arts, and loves to cook. Jim is also trained in martial arts and makes time for wood working, fishing, and time with family.

George Delmont

Owner-Operator of the Month

Congratulations to George Delmont, Owner Operator Driver of the Month! George joined Stevens Transport in July of 2009 after graduating with his CDL from Roadmaster-Ohio. Wanting to start a new career with his best foot forward, it was suggested to him a few times to go to Stevens Transport because of the great training and George did just that! He became an Owner-Operator in October of 2009. Being on the road, for George, has given him a low stress and rewarding career where his office decor changes daily. Recognizing a greater responsibility exists and comes with being a professional driver, the benefit of knowing no day is like one before, gives him a feeling of freedom that he carries into the next day. Staying true to the foundation, principles, and basics have all contributed to his success on and off the road. Consistent in his method, he averages over 11K miles monthly. George, an accomplished driver, is also a 1 Million Miler in the Stevens Transport Haul of Fame and on the cusp of his next milestone, 2 million miles! For new drivers, he encourages sticking with the basics, like following distance, appropriate speed on ramps, and staying aware on the road. He also notes the importance of knowing one’s own strengths, weaknesses, and ability to stay grounded in order to be open to learning something new, each and every day. When not on the road, George lives in Lackawanna, NY, where he was born and raised. He is a lifelong Bills fan, loves sports, golfing and enjoys time with family.

Kevin Collins

Trainer of the Month

Congratulations to Kevin Collins, March’s Trainer of the Month! Kevin is a graduate of Stevens Driving Academy and first joined Stevens Transport in 2011. Originally persuaded by his brother to change industries, he is grateful for the great training he received and also credits having two great trainers, Anthony Buige and Bobby Sockwell, for contributing to his success. Kevin enjoys the freedom of being on the road and “looking out my office window, seeing different things”. Now a trainer with ten years of service, he averages 13K miles per month. Kevin is among an accomplished group of drivers in the Stevens Transport Haul of Fame and our trainees get to train with a Million Miler! Kevin enjoys being a trainer and encourages all drivers to keep learning new things a priority, and for anyone considering a career change, to give it a try because it can be a rewarding one. Outside of training and when off the road, Kevin loves throwing darts and taking cruises.

Mario Williams

Runner Up Trainer of the Month

Congratulations to Mario Williams, Trainer of the Month Runner-Up! Mario joined Stevens Transport in 2005 and has been a trainer for all 19 years! Averaging over 16K miles per month over the last decade, Mario has shared his driving knowledge and in depth business acumen with over 215 trainees. His reputation as a driver and a trainer precedes him with many of our valued customers, fellow drivers, and trainees. Sharing his perspective that driving can create endless opportunities, he believes if a person knows what he or she wants, it will position the person to be in the best scenario for how to make it happen. He applies this concept each day to how he trains new drivers, while encouraging a healthy lifestyle on the road, and sharing how to create success in business and life.

Chris Kevlin 

1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Company Driver Chris Kevlin, our Dedicated Driver of the Month! Chris received his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. In November of 2011, because of the great training opportunities, he joined Stevens Transport. Averaging over 11K miles each month speaks highly to his expertise as a professional driver. Chis is also a member of the Stevens Transport Haul of Fame, inducted after reaching his first million miles! He is looking forward to reaching two million in the near future, with his co-pilot Ruby, pictured with him. Chris has spent time OTR, on the Kraft Heinz fleet, and is currently on the Perdue fleet. Surprised to be named Dedicated Driver of the Month, he credits his trainer Greg Parks for helping him achieve this accomplishment and values time management, noting it is a large contributor to his overall success. Chris is originally from Conway, New Hampshire. A Combat Veteran, he spent thirteen years in the United States Marine Corps and received the valor device, V, for his combat heroism. When not on the road, Chris enjoys rounds of golf out on the links!

Richard Whitesell

Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Richard Whitesell, our Dedicated Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Richard joined Stevens Transport in November of 2013 after graduating from Lone Star College and became an Independent Contractor in May of 2014. Richard is a Million Miler in the prestigious Stevens Transport Haul of Fame and averages over 10K miles per month with over 13K in March. Richard appreciates Stevens Transport for all they do and encourages new drivers to learn as much as possible from senior drivers because it never hurts to ask questions. Richard, an “Army brat”, was born at Fort Benjamin Harrison, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Richard also served in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer and leans on the regimented methods and skills learned in the Army to be successful each day. When not on the road, Richard enjoys quality time with his kids and getting out on his Harley Davidson!
