Ja’Marty Hall
1st Place Company Driver of the Month
Congratulations to Ja’Marty Hall, our Company Driver of the Month for May! Ja’Marty (also known as Jam) was born and raised in Oakland, Mississippi. A third-generation driver and a believer in “getting out of my comfort zone”, Ja’Marty went to Keenesburg, Colorado and graduated from Careers Worldwide with his CDL, joining Stevens Transport in September of 2023. He was drawn to Stevens Transport because of the detailed training and practices made available to new drivers. Ja’Marty credits his grandmother for his success because of her love, support, and the weather updates she shares on his routes! His time management skills and awareness also contributed to his 11.8K miles in May! Jam is honored and motivated to continue to be better each day, as a person and a driver. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and making music.

Joshua Dees
Runner Up Company Driver of the Month
Congratulations to our Company Driver of the Month Runner Up, Joshua Dees! After spending time as a box truck driver, Joshua decided to advance his driving career and received his CDL from Lone Star College (Stevens Driving Academy – Spring, TX). He enjoyed his training and found it informative and thorough. Joshua joined the Stevens Transport fleet of drivers just nine months ago, in October of 2023. He is appreciative of the great training he received and continued support while on the road. Joshua is also grateful for all the new experiences that being a driver brings each day. He is incredibly thankful for his family in Houston and their love and support. Helping him be prepared and setting him up for success, Joshua also credits his recruiter Charles Wage, Marie and Bear, the Instructors at Stevens Driving Academy – LSC, and his OTR Trainer Edward Boechler. When off the road, Joshua enjoys reading, working out, cooking, and time with family.

Clayton Davis
1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month
Congratulations to Clayton Davis, May’s Independent Contractor Driver of the Month! Clayton came to Stevens Transport in June of 2016 and has had great success both as a Company Driver and I/C Driver. Clayton is known for setting ambitious goals and working tirelessly to achieve them, often exceeding expectations. With over 12K miles in May alone, it is no wonder he is described as focused, determined, and a professional driver that consistently goes above and beyond! Thank you for exemplifying true dedication to the industry and Stevens Transport!

James Bedford III
Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month
Congratulations to James Bedford III, May’s Independent Contractor Driver of the Month Runner Up! James received his CDL from Georgia Driving Academy. He came to Stevens Transport in August of 2022 and began his path as an Independent Contractor in February of 2023. James’ reputation speaks volumes as he is known for being “…one of, if not, the hardest working driver…and always puts the needs of the company before his…”. With over 12K miles in May (and averaging over 10K miles per month), these words could not ring truer. Stevens Transport, the I/C Division, and the customers he serves are all grateful for his flexibility, dedication to being a professional driver, and outstanding work ethic!

Janessa Vega
1st Place Grad Driver of the Month
Congratulations to Janessa Vega, our May GRAD Driver of the Month! Janessa was born and raised in Orlando, Florida and grew up wanting to follow in her grandfather’s footsteps as a professional truck driver. Starting the year off by receiving her CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School, Janessa made her way to Stevens Transport by February, and in May, driving almost 12K miles, Janessa has more than demonstrated she is well on her way to a successful career as a professional driver! When off the road, she loves family time and fishing. Janessa is grateful for the encouragement from her best friend (who also referred her to both Tampa TDS and Stevens Transport), the support of strong family ties, and her motivation to explore and be successful in her new career!

Dj Collins
Runner-Up Grad Driver of The Month
Congratulations DJ Collins, May’s GRAD Driver of the Month Runner Up! DJ was born in Inglewood, California and raised in Houston, Texas where he attended Lone Star College and received his CDL. DJ joined the Stevens Transport fleet of drivers in January of 2024. DJ felt confident in coming to Stevens Transport because of the focus on safety in training and the opportunity to have a rewarding career that would create a great future for his daughter, family, and himself. Covering almost 10K miles in May, seeing new places and faces, and an overall feeling of “doing something right, knowing that the information I was taught was the right way…”, is a testament to his sound decision. DJ credits his success to his Lord and Savior, being punctual and proactive, and to Trainer, mentor, and Business Operator, Samuel Alexander. His advice to new drivers is to follow the three Cs – calm, cool, and collected. When not behind the wheel, DJ enjoys having time with his daughter, fiancé, family, and friends.

Jacob Franks & Carl Davis
1st Place Team of the Month
Congratulations Jacob Franks and Carl Davis, May’s TEAM Drivers of the month! Both Jacob and Carl received their CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. Jacob joined Stevens Transport in September of 2020 and became an Independent Contractor in November (2020). After serving ten years in the United States Army, Carl joined Stevens Transport in September of 2022 and transitioned to Independent Contractor in March of 2023. Fun fact, Jacob was Carl’s Driver Trainer and that is how this dynamic duo came to be! Jacob and Carl are an incredible team that seamlessly work together! They covered over 22K miles in May and are averaging 16K per month this year! Jacob’s tip for success is to find a schedule and stick with it! Carl also encourages drivers to never stop asking questions. When off the road, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family and attending Rangers games. Carl enjoys time with his family, golfing, and going to the shooting range. Thank you for your service Carl and thank you both for your hard work and commitment to being such a successful team!

Rodney Carr
Owner-Operator of the Month
Congratulations to May’s Owner Operator of the Month,2 Million Mile Haul of Famer, Rodney Carr! Rodney joined Stevens Transport in November of 2010 after a successful career in the construction industry (where he was first drawn to Class 8 trucks). When Rodney decided it was time to make a career move, he attended and received his CDL from Georgia Driving Academy. Building on what he learned at GDA, he chose Stevens Transport because of the in-depth training and opportunities available. After joining our driving force, Rodney set out and accomplished his goal of becoming an independent contractor in August of 2011. He has also spent 8 years as a Driver Trainer, sharing his time, skills, and knowledge with GRAD Drivers. An impressive May with over 13K miles, Rodney is now averaging over 10K miles per month for 2024! This 2 Million Miler enjoys relaxing and spending time with his five children when out of his truck.

David Adamson
Trainer of the Month
Congratulations David Adamson, our May Trainer of the Month! David, a 10-year Marine Corps veteran, graduated from Tennessee Truck Driving School with his CDL and came to Stevens Transport in 2018. David was new to the transportation industry but not to being an accomplished professional. After the training he received at Stevens Transport, David was inspired to become a Trainer, contributing and ensuring new drivers would continue to receive a superior level of training. With over 18K miles in May and averaging over 13K per month this year, he is doing exactly what he set out to do! David enjoys camping and spending time with his grandchildren when he’s off the road. Thank you for your service and thank you for continuing to elevate the training experience!

Andy Richardson
Runner Up Trainer of the Month
Congratulations to the May Trainer of the Month Runner Up, Andy Richardson! Andy is a CDL graduate from Georgia Driving Academy and has been a part of the Stevens Transport driving force since March of 2019. Over the last four years, Andy has leaned in to his desire to help others, sharing his knowledge, and helping new drivers gain the tools to become successful in their new careers. With over 17K miles in May and averaging 13K per month this year, it is easy to see our newest drivers are getting the experience and learning the necessary methods to have a rewarding career! When not with trainees, Andy enjoys spending time with friends and watching football! Thank you for making such an incredible impact on so many!

Obinna Eboh
1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month
Congratulations to Obinna Eboh, the May Dedicated Driver of the Month! Obinna received his CDL from CRST International and came to Stevens Transport in May 2019. In July 2020, Obinna transitioned to the Independent Contractor Division where he continues to be a successful business owner. With almost 13K miles in May and averaging over 9K per month, it is no wonder Obinna has a reputation for being extremely reliable and professional. His kind and friendly nature adds to his successes as a person and professional driver.

Derrick Dean
Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month
Congratulations Derrick Dean for being the May Dedicated Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Derrick came to Stevens Transport in 2023 (March) after receiving his CDL from Careers Worldwide. By August (2023), Derrick had successfully transitioned to the Independent Contractor Division, taking charge of his personal trip plan for a rewarding career! A great representative for all professional drivers, he is known for his friendly demeanor, consistent performance, and goal setting, that no doubt contributed to his 12K mile month in May! Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
