Brandon Paul

1st Place Company Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Brandon Paul, the Company Driver of the Month! Brandon joined Stevens Transport in June 2023 after completing his CDL training at Georgia Driving Academy. In November, Brandon drove an impressive 11,757 miles. Before joining Stevens, Brandon had a successful pressure washing business, was searching for a different and exciting career, and ultimately landed on professional over the road driving. Brandon’s advice for newcomers includes establishing a support network on and off the road, and being thoroughly prepared at all times. Outside of work, he indulges in travel, learning history, and being with friends and family.

Eric Guzelf

Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Eric Guzelf, our Company Runner-Up Driver of the Month! Eric joined Stevens Transport in December 2022 after completing CDL training at Tampa Truck Driving School. Eleven months later, Eric has proven he has the drive – he drove an impressive 11,725 miles in November! He landed on driving trucks as a career after 29 years in the automotive service industry. For aspiring drivers, Eric advises embracing career changes with a willingness to just try and live life without regrets. Recognizing the importance of patience in the trucking industry, Eric appreciates the supportive community of fellow drivers at Stevens. Fond memories include traveling with his dog, Dexter. Beyond work Eric enjoys playing darts, golf, and socializing with friends, recognizing the value of quality time with those who appreciate it.

Mario Moore Sr.

1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month

Image of Mario MooreCongratulations to Mario Moore, our Independent Contractor Driver of the Month! Since joining Stevens Transport in February 2023, and joined the contractor division in June after 6 months of driving. Mario has demonstrated exceptional dedication by covering an impressive 13,125 miles in November. He attributes his success to the comprehensive training by his trainer Patrick Brown, who thoroughly educated Mario on the contractor division. Mario expresses gratitude to his Driver Manager, Steve Lewis, for diligently facilitating his continuous movement. His excellence as a driver is underscored by his attentiveness and situational awareness. Mario’s fondest memory at Stevens revolves around the support and assistance provided by co-workers. Outside of work, he enjoys hobbies such as model cars and cooking.

John “Luke” Prock

Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month

Congratulations to Luke Prock, our Runner-Up Independent Contractor Driver of the Month! Luke, a proud graduate of Stevens Driving Academy, joined the Stevens Transport driving force in June 2023 and quickly became an independent contractor. In the month of November, he covered an impressive 13,006 miles. Luke’s drive for success and the prospect of extensive travel influenced his decision to pursue a career as a truck driver. Offering valuable advice to new drivers, he emphasizes the importance of focus and perseverance. Luke credits Stevens for the opportunities it has provided, enabling meaningful connections and the ability to explore the country. Outside of work, he enjoys skydiving, playing music, visiting friends and family, and traveling.

Richard Figuera Jr.

1st Place Grad Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Richard Figuera Jr., our New Driver of the Month! Rick began his journey with Stevens Transport in July 2023, when he graduated CDL training at Careers Worldwide in Denver. In November, he achieved an impressive milestone, covering a remarkable distance of 11,764 miles. Rick attributes his success to not only the invaluable guidance from his trainer, Travis, but also the strong work ethic instilled by his parents. His natural aptitude for driving, coupled with a love of learning, distinguishes Rick as an excellent truck driver. The decision to pursue a career in truck driving was influenced by his father’s nearly 40-year career as a driver. Despite prior experience with Class B license dump trucks and concrete trucks, Rick was drawn to the enjoyment of OTR driving. His advice for new drivers underscores the importance of passion over financial gain and encourages a continuous pursuit of improvement. Outside of work, Rick indulges in his love for the outdoors, engaging in activities such as camping, hiking, and scenic drives through the mountains.

Runner-Up Grad Driver of The Month

Congratulations to Kyle Allen, the Runner-Up New Driver of the Month! Kyle joined Stevens Transport in August 2023 after completing his CDL training at Stevens Driving Academy. Kyle drove an amazing 10,950 miles in November, maintaining a perfect service record. A resident of Arlington, Texas, Kyle was drawn to Stevens after years of seeing the company’s trucks on the road. His outstanding driving skills include a commitment to safety, meticulous trip planning, and always having a contingency plan in place. His advice to new drivers underscores the importance of hard work, emphasizing the perpetual demand for drivers. A standout memory for Kyle is the moment he pulled out of the Stevens gates with his first solo load. Beyond work, he indulges in his passions for bass fishing and disc golf.

Edwin Stockton Jr. & Adam Mashburn

1st Place Team of the Month

Image of Edwin Stockton and Adam MashburnPlease congratulate our Team Drivers of the Month, Edwin Stockton Jr. and Adam Mashburn. Both Edwin and Adam are graduates of Tennessee Truck Driving School, covering an impressive 21,365 miles in the month of November. Edwin is an eight-year veteran of the U.S. Army who pursued a lifelong dream to drive over the road, while Adam, a native of Thomasville, North Carolina, was drawn to the idea of continuing his family trade of truck driving. Beyond their professional commitments, Adam enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and fishing, while Edwin finds pleasure in fishing and backyard barbecues.

Dennis Lawhorn Jr.

Owner-Operator of the Month

Since joining the Stevens Transport team in July 2021 and graduating with his CDL from Lonestar College, Dennis has demonstrated exceptional dedication. Dennis progressed quickly and became an independent contractor in November of 2021. This November, he covered an impressive 12,560 miles with a flawless service record. Dennis attributes his success to the resilience of his parents, who overcame poverty to provide a better life for their children. His advice for new drivers is to never lose sight of commitment to the mission and the pursuit of a better future. Dennis cherishes the freedom that comes with the profession, allowing him to travel the country, and own his own business. Outside of work, Dennis enjoys gaming, watching anime, and solving crossword puzzles.

Valentin Ramirez

Trainer of the Month

Congratulations to Valentin Ramirez, our distinguished Trainer of the Month! A proud graduate of Stevens Driving Academy, Valentin has been an invaluable member of the Stevens Transport team since March 2022. Soon after training Valentin began building his pathway to business ownership and joined the IC division.  In his role as a driver trainer, he has covered an impressive 15,655 miles this past November.. Drawing on previous experience driving a dually truck pulling a 48ft gooseneck trailer, Valentin seamlessly transitioned to a semi and found the adjustment to be straightforward. He takes great pride in his skills, and with the support of his Driver Manager, John Rebone, and Business Manager, Chris Palin, Valentin continues to excel within the Stevens Transport community and IC division. Beyond work, he enjoys quality time with family and friends.

Onterio Sutton

Runner Up Trainer of the Month

Congratulations to Onterio Sutton, the Runner-Up Trainer of the Month! Onterio joined Stevens Transport in June 2001..23 years ago  after completing CDL training at Cowtown Driving School in Fort Worth, Texas. September 2001 Ontario embarked on a pursuit to own his own business and set out to be an owner operator. Ontario also joined the training fleet in 2005 and has trained hundreds of drivers. This past November, Onterio covered an impressive 16,718 miles. He has successfully trained for over 22 years and has earned a spot in the Stevens Transport million-mile Haul of Fame, having driven almost four million miles. Onterio attributes his success to the support of Stevens Transport’s ownership and the proactive approach of driver managers in keeping him consistently engaged. He values the accessibility and open-door policy, ensuring effective communication channels. Offering advice to new drivers, Onterio advocates for stability in one’s career path, endorsing Stevens Transport as an excellent starting point due to its family-like atmosphere and strong support system. Reflecting on a memorable moment, Onterio cherishes achieving independent contractor status with his first truck. Outside of work, he enjoys activities such as fishing, playing dominos, and indulging in gospel, R&B, and blues southern soul music.

Jerald Gross

1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month

Please congratulate Jerald Gross, our Dedicated Driver of the Month! Jerald has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since October 2018, when he graduated with his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. Soon after training Jerald joined the IC division and has never looked back, In the month of November, he achieved an impressive feat by covering 14,315 miles. Jerald has been part of the elite trainer team for many years training future Stevens drivers. Jerald attributes his success to his disciplined, driven, and goal-oriented approach to his driving. The allure of scenic views and the freedom of the open road are what compelled him to pursue a career in truck driving. For new drivers, he emphasizes the importance of ensuring that this career aligns with personal aspirations, recognizing that it may not be suitable for everyone. Jerald values the familial atmosphere at Stevens Transport, highlighting it as one of the company’s standout features. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting and riding motorcycles.

Lawerence Walsh

Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Lawrence Walsh, the Runner-Up Dedicated Driver of the Month! Lawrence joined our organization in January 2016 after completing CDL training at Roadmaster Orlando.  A few years ago in August of 2020 Lawrence joined the IC division and enjoys running his own business. In the month of November, he covered a total of 12,876 miles. Lawrence’s decision to join Stevens Transport was influenced by the company’s training program, which he found to be superior and paved the pathway to the success he has achieved today.  He attributes his success to a combination of factors, including the comprehensive support system provided by Stevens Transport and the IC division. The company’s commitment to continuous learning is exemplified by the post-training graduate class, where a dedicated team is available 24/7/365 to assist drivers. Lawrence expresses gratitude to his entire team, led by Wendy Jones and including Driver Manager Michelle, planners Megan, Nate, and Diana, as well as the night crew members Sean and Greg. Outside of driving, Lawrence values the solitude of being on the road, having previously raised four children and managed businesses. In his leisure time, he enjoys watching TV while parked, reading books, and indulging in audio books and podcasts during his travels.
