Gregg Softy, a Stevens Transport Contractor and retired Lieutenant Colonel, served the US Army for 28 years. Gregg has been nominated for the 2017 Transition Trucking Award, which recognizes outstanding veteran drivers in the transportation industry. He chose Stevens for advancement opportunities and the family-like environment.
James Hess Completes 4th Lease
Since joining Stevens in 2011, James has successfully completed four leases as a contractor. Starting as a solo driver in Alliance, he enjoyed his time and eventually transitioned to a team, relishing the experience of traveling with another driver. James also became a trainer, a role that he found to be fulfilling.

Jim and Ann Lewis, aka Midnight Alchemy Trucking, began their tenure with Stevens in 2010 as solo drivers. After realizing that they could earn more as a team, they decided to lease from Alliance. As the top-performing team for Stevens, they were able to turn their bonus check into a down payment on a truck.
