Kevin Dillon
1st Place Company Driver of the Month
We are proud to celebrate One Million Mile Haul of Famer Kevin Dillon, our August Company Driver of the Month!
Kevin began his journey with Stevens Transport in February 2012 after earning his CDL from Lonestar College in Houston. In August, Kevin logged an impressive 13,258 miles, maintaining a flawless service record!
He is known for being reliable, consistent, and a true professional.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family, valuing the moments that recharge and inspire him.

Derick Ford
Runner Up Company Driver of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Two Million Mile Hall of Famer Derick Ford, the Company Driver of the Month Runner-Up!
Derick has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport driving team since April 2001, beginning his professional driving career after earning his CDL from the Stevens Driving Academy. In August, Derick logged 11,658 miles!
Over the past two decades, Derick has earned numerous awards and logged over 2.5 million accident-free miles! He is known for prioritizing loads and customers, and being “the guy you want on your side when it counts.” Derick is also a member of the Winter Chain Fleet, and season after season, enjoys staging in the PAC-NW, chaining up the tires and heading over the mountains, to deliver, help out, pick up, and keep everyone moving!
When he’s not on the road, Derick enjoys learning about finance and investment tools and watching basketball during his downtime.

Jamie Savallisch
1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Jamie Savallish, our Independent Contractor Driver of the Month for August!
Jamie began his journey with Stevens Transport in 2011 after completing his CDL training at Careers World Wide. In 2022, he transitioned to the Contractor Division, giving him the opportunity for business ownership while also living his dream of being a professional driver.
In August, Jamie logged an impressive 13,124 miles, earning him this well-deserved recognition. He attributes much of his continued success to the strong support system at Stevens Transport and the positive working relationships he’s built with his driver managers. Watching his dad have a successful career as a driver, Jamie values the opportunities available, traveling the country, and owning his own business. When he’s off the road, he enjoys fishing, playing video games, and spending time with his family.

L. Mendez Matos
Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month
Please join us in congratulating L. Mendez Matos, our August Independent Contractor of the Month Runner-Up!
Matos began his career with Stevens Transport in 2018, following his CDL training at North Carolina Truck Driving School. Just three months after joining the fleet, he joined the Contractor Division in October 2018, embracing the autonomy and responsibility of owning his own business.
In August, Matos drove 12,335 miles, and attributes his success to building strong relationships throughout the company and consistently having a team-oriented mindset. He also values Stevens Transport’s deep commitment to safety and open communication. When he’s not on the road, Matos enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with his family.

Latorrick Davis
1st Place New Driver of the Month
We are proud to recognize Latorrick Davis, the August New Driver of the Month!
Latorrick joined Stevens Transport in May 2025 after earning his CDL through Tampa Truck Driving School. Since then, he has demonstrated strong commitment and drive in his role, logging an impressive 10,951 miles in August!
Latorrick attributes his early success to staying focused and keeping his goals front and center! He believes in growing and improving each day, personally and professionally, and accomplishes this with his “don’t play around and get it done” mindset.
For him, the most rewarding aspect of being a driver is accomplishing the mission, delivering to every destination safely and on time. In his few months at Stevens, he has enjoyed the chance to travel across the country and see places he had never been before. Outside of work, Latorrick enjoys cars, motorcycles, and sports!

John Milner
Runner-Up New Driver of The Month
We are proud to recognize John Milner as the August New Driver of the Month Runner-Up!
John earned his CDL from South TX Vocational Technical Institute in Arlington, Texas, and joined Stevens Transport in May 2025. Focused on giving his best each day, John logged an impressive 9,626 miles in August! John attributes his success to being driven to succeed in life, making moments matter, and thinking through possible outcomes. He emphasizes the importance of taking things slowly in every situation to prevent accidents.
John appreciates the comprehensive support system at Stevens Transport, noting that “there is a department for everything,” providing drivers with the resources they need to focus on their core responsibilities.
One of John’s most memorable experiences with Stevens so far has been the opportunity to see many beautiful places and continuously learn new things every day. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking healthy and flavorful meals and trying new recipes!

Larry Hutson & Liam Cress
1st Place Team of the Month
We’re proud to recognize U.S. Navy Veteran Larry Hutson and Liam Cress as our August Team of the Month! This outstanding Contractor Division duo logged an impressive 18,514 miles, earning top team honors for the month. Larry began his journey with Stevens in June 2022, and Liam joined in April 2025.
A Driver Trainer for four years, Larry takes pride in mentoring new drivers and credits his success to his faith: “Everything in life can be turned into something positive. Be patient, keep an open mind, talk to God, and pray. It helps.” He appreciates Stevens’ personal approach: “They truly care and make an effort to keep drivers happy.” Outside of work, Larry enjoys golf, fishing, helping others, and spending time with his wife and family.
Liam attributes his success to his loved ones and a strong desire to improve. His advice to new drivers: “Always stay on top of things. It will help you to be better because you have to strive to be better.” He values Stevens’ flexibility with home time, especially now as a new father. (Congrats!) Liam also enjoys scenic travel and meeting new people. In his downtime, Liam enjoys relaxing with family.

Kenneth Higer
Owner-Operator of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Kenneth Higer, our August Owner-Operator of the Month!
Kenneth began his journey with Stevens Transport in February 2019, after earning his CDL through Careers World Wide in Keenesburg, Colorado. In August, Kenneth logged an impressive 12,250 miles!
Before joining the transportation industry, Kenneth was a manager in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Seeking a new career path, he found his way to Stevens Transport, where he has since thrived! He spent two years as a Driver Trainer and enjoyed guiding new drivers into a rewarding career path. He continues to mentor new drivers and makes sure to be available to answer questions.
Kenneth attributes his success to the support of the Stevens Transport team, the encouragement of his family, and his own commitment to excellence. Kenneth also shared that he values how much the company cares about its drivers. His most memorable achievement to date has been the proud moment of becoming an Owner-Operator, a milestone he set for himself.
When he’s not behind the wheel, he enjoys spending his time playing video games and taking it easy.

Raymond Stephens
Trainer of the Month
We are proud to recognize Raymond Stephens as our August Trainer of the Month!
A United States Army Veteran, Raymond began his journey with Stevens Transport in December 2020 after completing his CDL training at the Stevens Transport Driving Academy. In April 2021, Raymond joined the Contractor Division and has made significant impacts as a driver and trainer.
In August, Raymond logged an outstanding 18,023 miles. He has built lasting relationships throughout his time here, both with those he’s trained and the colleagues he has met along the way. He is known for his positive attitude and high standards. Raymond encourages others to be their best, strive for excellence, and continue learning.
He attributes his success to his strong work ethic and determination and instills these same qualities in his trainees. When he’s not on the road, Raymond enjoys quality time with his family and friends.

Julian Gonzalez
Runner Up Trainer of the Month
We are proud to recognize Julian Gonzalez as our August Trainer of the Month Runner-Up!
Julian began his journey in the transportation industry after completing his CDL training at Tampa Truck Driving School. An experienced driver, he joined Stevens Transport in September 2020 and the Contractor Division in December 2020. A recipient of numerous driver awards, Julian is a shining example of a sound business owner with a strong entrepreneurial spirit!
In August, Julian logged an impressive 17,268 miles, exemplifying his excellence, dedication, and reliability. Over the past two years, he has taken on the role of Driver Trainer, successfully mentoring more than 23 new drivers. Julian’s journey is a great example of the opportunities available and the rewarding career possible as a professional driver! As he continues to embrace the changes (and rewards) in the industry, he remains an inspiration to new drivers and a resource in the community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Jose C. Albert0
1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Two Million Mile Haul of Famer, Jose Alberto, our Dedicated Driver of the Month!
Jose began his career with Stevens Transport in Jan 2009. Stepping into the role of a business owner and taking control of his professional journey, he joined the Contracor Division in Aug 2009.
In August, Jose drove an impressive 13,210 miles! Over the past 15 years, he has been named Dedicated Driver of the Month for multiple months, is an expert trainer, and a 2 Million Mile member of the Haul of Fame (celebrated in Dec 2024).
Jose values the supportive culture that Stevens Transport provides its drivers and independent contractors, sharing that “the people here always have my back.” He appreciates the consistency of being a Dedicated driver and the opportunities that Stevens Transport offers to drivers and their families.
Known for his great personality and kind heart, he’s always a welcome sight around the yard! When he’s not on the road, Jose enjoys traveling the world and spending quality time with his family.

Oduwa Egbon
Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Independent Contractor, Oduwa Egbon, our Dedicated Driver of the Month Runner-Up for August!
Oduwa earned his CDL from the Stevens Driving Academy and has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since December 2021 and Contractor Division since March 2022. In August, he achieved an impressive 12,736 miles!
Oduwa encourages new drivers to develop a genuine passion for the profession, emphasizing that patience is essential for long-term success. He also highlights the importance of building strong relationships with Driver Managers to ensure a successful and fulfilling career on the road.
He values the supportive culture at Stevens Transport, sharing that the company truly listens to its drivers and fosters an environment where they feel heard and respected. One of Oduwa’s most meaningful milestones was completing his first lease contract, an achievement that brought him a strong sense of pride and accomplishment.
Outside of his professional life, Oduwa enjoys staying active (jumping rope and doing push-ups are favorites), as fitness is an important part of his Driver routine. He also relaxes by playing video games on his Sony PlayStation and listening to good music.
