Thomas Tang
1st Place Company Driver of the Month

Please join us in congratulating U.S. Air Force Veteran Thomas Tang as our December Company Driver of the Month. Thomas joined Stevens Transport in July 2025 after earning his CDL from Knight Transportation School and ultimately choosing Stevens for its outstanding training program. In December, he logged an impressive 14,176 miles while maintaining a flawless service record, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Thomas credits his success to effective time management and most importantly, a positive attitude. This is the first job where he truly enjoys waking up and getting to work each day. He encourages new drivers to make sure this career is something they can genuinely enjoy, as attitude plays a key role in long-term success at Stevens Transport.
What Thomas values most about Stevens Transport is the structured training program, personalized orientation, and a driver-focused culture. One of his most memorable experiences was orientation, where he formed lasting friendships. His favorite part of being a driver is the opportunity to experience something new every day without the monotony of a typical job. In his free time, Thomas enjoys playing pool, watching Family Guy, listening to music, watching movies, and staying connected with his family.

Michael Bush
Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Three Million Miler, Michael Bush, as our December Company Driver of the Month Runner-Up. Michael has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since July 2002, where he began his professional driving career, earning his CDL through the Stevens Driving Academy. In December, he logged an impressive 12,171 miles while maintaining a perfect safety record, reflecting his dedication to excellence and safe driving.
Michael credits his success to consistency, discipline, and putting safety first every single day. Doing the right things the right way, mile after mile, is what has kept him accident-free and allowed him to build a long, successful career. His advice for new drivers is be patient, stay humble, and focus on learning the job the right way. If you put safety first and stay consistent, the success will come. Michael says the best thing about Stevens Transport is stability and support. Stevens has always provided steady freight, strong safety standards, and the support drivers need to do the job right. Michael’s favorite part of being a driver is the independence and pride that come with doing the job safely and professionally every day. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at home, staying active, and relaxing after a good run on the road.

John Freeman
1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month

Please join us in congratulating John Freeman as our December Independent Contractor Driver of the Month. John joined Stevens Transport in February 2025 after earning his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. He transitioned into the Independent Contractor Division in November 2025 and in December, logged an impressive 13,056 miles. His strong performance has earned him this well-deserved recognition.
John came to Stevens Transport after spending nearly 30 years working with high school students and deciding it was time for a career change to pursue a long-time goal of becoming a truck driver. Now an independent contractor with about 11 months of driving experience, John credits his growth to strong communication with support staff and fellow drivers, along with a commitment to learning every day. He advises new drivers to believe in themselves, stay committed, and never give up.
What has impressed John most about Stevens is the company’s willingness to invest in drivers with no prior experience, providing strong training, support, and opportunities for success as part of a team. Some of his most memorable experiences include graduation class and his first time driving into New York City, a completely new and eye-opening experience. His favorite part of being a driver is seeing the country and connecting with people from different backgrounds. In his free time, John enjoys hiking, reading, watching movies, and listening to music.

Terence Thompson
Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Terence Thompson as our December Independent Contractor of the Month Runner-Up. Terence began his career with Stevens Transport in December 2020 after earning his CDL from Lonestar in Houston, Texas. In April 2021, he transitioned into the Contractor Division, where he has continued to demonstrate outstanding performance and professionalism. In December alone, Terence logged an impressive 12,613 miles, earning him this well-deserved recognition.
Terence came to Stevens Transport after spending 20 years in customer service and being inspired by his father and brother, both truck drivers, to make the move to an over-the-road career. Now an independent contractor who prefers running solo, Terence enjoys the freedom to manage his routes, fuel choices, and earning potential while maximizing his miles. He credits his success to experience gained from previous work and his years in trucking. His advice to new drivers is to understand that trucking is a different lifestyle and requires commitment to succeed.
What Terence appreciates most about Stevens Transport is the strong support system, open communication, and willingness to help resolve issues. His most memorable experiences come from traveling across the country and taking in the scenery, which is also his favorite part of being a driver. When he’s off the road, Terence enjoys spending time with his children, traveling to their softball and soccer games, and supporting their sports activities.

Juan Araujo Kalinowsky
1st Place New Driver of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Juan Araujo Kalinowsky as our December New Driver of the Month. Juan joined Stevens Transport in September 2025 after earning his CDL from Tampa Trucking School in Florida. In December, he logged an impressive 12,720 miles.
Juan came to Stevens Transport driven by a lifelong interest in trucking that began with his family in rural Brazil, where many relatives worked as drivers and equipment operators. After moving to the United States, he never let go of that goal, and with encouragement from a friend and the support from Stevens during a challenging financial period, he was able to begin his driving career. Now a company driver, Juan credits his success to perseverance, faith, and the support of his family. He advises new drivers not to give up during difficult times, to take breaks when needed, and to lean on loved ones for support. What he appreciates most about Stevens Transport is the help and opportunities the company provided, especially the chance to see the country beyond his home state of Florida. His most memorable experiences come from learning something new every day on the road, and his favorite part of being a driver is the flexibility and independence the job provides. In his free time, Juan enjoys cooking, exercising, staying active, and maintaining a disciplined routine.

Christian Montalvo
Runner-Up New Driver of The Month

Please join us in congratulating Christian Montalvo as our December New Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Christian received his CDL from Tennessee Trucking School in Knoxville, Tennessee and. In December, he logged an impressive 11,460 miles, reflecting his strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
After welcoming his first child, Christian chose to pursue trucking as a long-term career, motivated by a desire for greater stability and inspired by a conversation with a fellow driver. He credits his success to patience and consistent practice, particularly in developing his backing and parking skills. Christian appreciates the strong support system at Stevens Transport, from planners and dispatchers to roadside assistance. He values the camaraderie within the trucking community, where drivers are willing to share knowledge and encouragement. One of his most memorable experiences on the road has been traveling through Utah, including views of the Grand Canyon and the mountain ranges surrounding Salt Lake City. Outside of work, Christian enjoys building and painting plastic models and reading science fiction.

Josue Gibson and Timothy Dengler
1st Place Team of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Josue Gibson and Timothy Dengler as our December Team Drivers of the Month. Since joining Stevens Transport in April 2025, this dynamic duo has quickly established themselves as a strong, reliable team, logging an outstanding 21,839 miles in December. Both drivers came to Stevens through recommendations during CDL school, Josue earned his CDL through HDS Trucking in Tucson, Arizona, while Timothy earned his CDL through Georgia Driving Academy. As independent contractors, they value the earning potential, flexibility, and freedom that comes with team driving.
Josue credits his success to his family, which motivates him to stay focused and provide stability, while Timothy attributes their success to teamwork, discipline, and keeping each other grounded on the road. Together, they emphasize safety, consistency, and preparation for whatever challenges the road may bring. They both appreciate Stevens Transport’s reliability, strong freight network, and safety-first culture as well as the company’s support during severe weather conditions. One of their most memorable moments together was navigating extreme wind conditions in Kansas, an experience that reinforced the importance of teamwork and trust. Outside the truck, Josue enjoys sports and spending time with family when he’s home, and Timothy values the freedom to travel and experience new places across the country. For them, the greatest reward of team driving is the camaraderie, never feeling alone on the road and always having a trusted partner by their side.

Travis Burnett
Owner-Operator of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Three Million Miler and U.S. Army veteran, Travis Burnett, as our December Owner-Operator of the Month. He began his career with Stevens Transport in February 2001 after earning his CDL through Truck Driver Institute (TDI) in Forsyth, Georgia. In December, Travis logged an impressive 11,021 miles, further demonstrating the dedication and consistency that has defined his career.
Travis was drawn to Stevens by the quality of the equipment he saw during CDL school and the company’s strong presence close to his hometown. With decades in the industry, Travis previously served as a Driver Trainer, where he mentored several drivers, including family members, before focusing on his own operation. He credits his success to consistency, hard work, and staying committed to the road, often running steady routes and maintaining a strong work ethic. Travis values Stevens Transport for its stability and support, especially during times of personal need. One of his most meaningful experiences was receiving full support during a family emergency, allowing him to take extended time off without pressure. His favorite part of being a driver is the freedom the career provides. In his free time, Travis enjoys fishing and sports and continues to take pride in a long, successful driving career

Raynor Marshall
Trainer of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Raynor Marshall as our December Trainer of the Month. Raynor began his career with Stevens Transport in November 2023 after earning his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School in Florida. In December, he logged an impressive 19,430 miles, demonstrating his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
Raynor joined the company seeking a fresh start and a better future and has since found consistent success and growth in his career. With over three years at Stevens, Raynor has trained several drivers, bringing passion and a business-minded approach shaped by his experience as a former company driver and business owner. He credits his success to taking the time to learn the industry before becoming an independent contractor, ensuring he was fully prepared to succeed.
Raynor values Stevens Transport for its strong driver support and professionalism. One of his most memorable experiences was navigating snowy conditions in Nebraska, where drivers worked together to safely move as a group—an early moment that reinforced the unity of the trucking community. His favorite part of being a driver is traveling, seeing new places, and being on the road, which is what he loves. Outside of work, Raynor enjoys playing soccer and spending time with his five children.

Tiffany Braud
Runner Up Trainer of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Tiffany Braud as our December Driver Trainer of the Month Runner-Up. Tiffany began her career in the transportation industry after earning her CDL at Lone Star and completing her training at Stevens Driving Academy. She officially joined Stevens Transport in October 2022. She advanced to Independent Contractor status in March 2023 and in December, logged an impressive 11,312 miles, reflecting her dedication and professionalism.
Tiffany made a bold career transition from the world of high-end retail to trucking, confident that Stevens Transport was the right fit and that confidence has paid off. As a Driver Trainer, she has successfully mentored more than 20 new drivers, taking pride in helping others succeed and working to positively shape the narrative for women in the trucking industry. With a clear five-year plan, she completed her lease, marking a major milestone in her journey. While the lease completion bonus was rewarding, Tiffany says feeling genuinely valued as a driver has been the greatest achievement. Her next goal is to purchase her own truck.
She credits much of her success to the guidance of her trainer, Michael Richardson, as well as the continued support of her driver manager, Steve Lewis, and fellow driver Lewis Greeno. Her advice to others is simple yet powerful: network, stay positive, and build strong connections. Health and wellness are also important to Tiffany. She prioritizes hydration, chooses light and fresh meals on the road, and plans to return to a regular fitness routine. Her favorite part of the job is the ever-changing scenery, allowing her to experience the beauty of the country each day. Outside of work, Tiffany cherishes spending time with her six grandchildren.

Eric Clark
1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month

Please join us in congratulating One Million Miler, Eric Clark, as our Dedicated Driver of the Month! Eric began his career with Stevens Transport in October 2005 after earning his CDL through Stevens Driving Academy. In December, he demonstrated his continued dedication and professionalism by logging 3,717 miles.
Encouraged by a close friend and drawn to the high safety standards that define Stevens Transport, Eric applied and joined the Stevens driving force with a clear focus on doing things the right way. He truly enjoys being a company driver and describes himself as a “happy-go-lucky” person who believes strongly in safety, compliance, and consistency on the road. Eric encourages all drivers to make safety and compliance their top priorities and to find something positive to take away from each shift. He lives by a personal code that centers on never compromising his morals or values, managing his hours responsibly by limiting his driving time, and ensuring he does not exceed safe working limits. By staying disciplined and putting safety first, Eric has built a career he is proud of.

Carlos Kerchner
Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Carlos Kerchner, our Dedicated Driver of the Month Runner-Up for December. Carlos has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since October 2020, as well as an 8 year U.S. Marine veteran and 4 year U.S. Navy veteran. Originally from Brazil, he began his professional driving career after earning his CDL through Tennessee Truck Driving School. In January 2021, he successfully transitioned to an independent contractor. In December, Carlos demonstrated outstanding dedication and performance by logging an impressive 10,056 miles.
Carlos Kerchner is an Owner-Operator with Stevens Transport and is based in Knoxville, Tennessee. After spending years in the military and working in IT, Carlos sought a meaningful life change and was inspired by his brother’s long trucking career to explore the industry for himself. Drawn to the independence and peace of the road, Carlos appreciates being his own boss and working without unnecessary stress or distractions. He credits his success to efficiency, strong work ethic, and making the most of every driving hour. Carlos values Stevens Transport for its strong infrastructure and reliable support, knowing help and freight are always available when needed. His favorite part of being a driver is the freedom to set his own schedule and in his free time, Carlos enjoys reading and gaming, with a particular interest in Dark Age of Camelot.
