Chad Dankenbring fulfilled his dream of becoming a truck driver in 2018 after researching and choosing to drive for Stevens Transport due to its equipment and training. He obtained his CDL through Careers World Wide and completed his orientation and over-the-road training with his trainer at Stevens’ headquarters in Dallas, TX.
Opera Singer Becomes Truck Driver
Matthew Lord, a classically-trained opera singer, found a new beginning in trucking after the entertainment industry slowed down. Impressed by Stevens’ presentation and equipment, he obtained his CDL from Franklin Truck Driving School. Despite resuming his opera career, Matthew created a successful show called the Three Redneck Tenors and toured the country for 18 years.
Royford Burris Named Highway Angel
Stevens Transport’s Royford Burris was named “Highway Angel of the Year” by the Truckload Carriers Association for his heroic actions at a fiery crash scene. Burris was first on the scene and helped save a child trapped in a vehicle, despite multiple fatalities. See his firsthand account of the scene in the video.
