Celebrating Michael Edgington’s Trucking Success
Sixteen years ago, Michael Edgington found his home driving for Stevens Transport. He came to Stevens immediately after getting his CDL and has been with us ever since. The camaraderie and friendships he has developed make driving for Stevens feel like family.
He attributes everything he knows about driving a truck to the best-in-class CDL training at Stevens. This is why he is passionate about giving back by being a trainer himself. He especially appreciates teaching all he knows to those eager to learn about trucking. It has its challenges, but it also helps fine-tune his own driving skills while developing relationships with the new drivers.
During his driving career, Michael has been all over the country, in every kind of terrain, and driven through every kind of weather. “Meeting all kinds of people from various countries and cultures has been very interesting,” explains Michael.
Michael recently received an award for driving 2 million miles and is planning on reaching 3 million miles with us. He is looking forward to seeing what else is down the road for him as a professional truck driver and trainer at Stevens Transport.
